Need super secret geeky help.
« on: March 19, 2008, 09:09:23 pm »
Okay so. Lappy is dying. I can afford New Lappy in a couple of months, but until then I really need to get some shit done that Lappy just won't let me do 'cause she's like. Dying. Like I said.

So, I have a School Lappy that works fucking fantastically, however it's been tricked out with Content Watch and therefore I can do next to nothing other than school work. I really need to know how to er. Take care of this. So I can actually get stuff done, chat on here, etc, in the off chance that Lappy may die before I can afford New Lappy.

Halp?

Talked with Hubby who said that unless you have the password, you can't get rid of the content control.  Also, one of the content control features is that it keeps a log of when the password is used.  They had this on the computers where he used to work, and each person had a different password so they'd even know WHO used it.  Even when you "think" it's off, there is something somehow that can still show what websites were used.  I have no idea what all of this means, I'm just typing while he talks ::).

Not sure that helped, or made you feel any better.  He did say that he could get you a good deal on a laptop :P
