If a Republican politician tells you they're against gay rights, you just know they're a closeted knob-gobbler.

It always amazes me how they hope it doesn't affect the way people view them .They never seem to think about how their behavior has undermined, or hindered the basic rights of whole groups of people. What an IDIOT!!

They are usually the kinky PnP ones to boot!
It's all a sham. Politics is a big game, same as the media - and same as religion. The point is to distract & control. If we're looking at what they tell us is the "big issue", we're not looking at what they are doing. In time, there will be different causes and different minorities to pick-on. All in the name of keeping the system going, and the people distracted.

OK it seems this nasty little cocksucker has been flushed from his closet.

“I am gay.  Those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long.  It is something that is personal, and I don’t believe I felt with my heart that being gay would affect how I do my job,” Ashburn said.

Difficult for him? The poor little lamb. If things are hard then perhaps he should consider the political climate he has been fostering. Alas It seems that enlightenment is some way off for this dumb fucker:

Asked about his anti-gay voting record, Ashburn said, “I felt my duty, and I still feel this way, is to represent my constituents.”

I propose this repulsive man be drowned in the effluent from a bath house doucheroom.

Even if this weren't a self-serving piece of doo-doo spin, isn't it sometimes a politician's duty to challenge his or her constituents?

Indeed. Legislators (or parliamentarians for those of us in the civilised countries) should be more than just automatons for their electorates.

But since he's so respectful of the views of his constituents why did he elect not to tell them they were sending a Hell bound sodomite to Sacramento when last they voted?

You see: that's the thing. You can never find one when you want one.

Methinks the little poof is about to get Haggardized. I imagine the local press has already lined up a couple of loose lipped rent boys eager to spill the beans.
