New Labs...New Meds...

Hey everyone, as some of you know I was in a clinical trial for Maraviroc, the new entry inhibitor from Pfizer. Well, I had to terminate participation because the doctor that was running the study has fallen into some financial and legal issues...and two the drug stopped working for me. It seems that over the past six months, my viral load was raising...so we watched it, and it kept rising...so, I have since switched doctors, and I have been put on Kaletra and Combivir. As of 12/15/2006, my new numbers are as follows:

CD4: 578
VL: <75
%: 28

I couldn't ask for better numbers! My viral load went from over 700 to undetectable in a month! So, it seems that the regimen is working...so far! Just thought I would share the news with you all! Thanks everyone for your support, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Your numbers weren't bad before but they're even better this time around.  Sounds like you have a good regimen.  Those t-cells are sitting pretty.

Careful of the Kaletra.  It can be a bitch sometimes.  But because of your 'avocation' you're in good shape and you keep fit.  Shouldn't be a problem.

What a great way to end the year!

Congratulations.  I am in my seventh month of Kaletra and Combivir and have had good success.  The lipids are a concern...you may have to watch yours as well.  Keep us posted!

Congratulations on the great numbers Jeromy!!!  Great news for going into 2007!  Sad to hear that the trial drug wasn't working in addition to the stress/issues with changing doctors.  But it looks like you are definately on a good regimine and headed in the right direction!  Best of luck for the New Year!!!

  Well judging from the porno thread how are you going to do that?   Footing?  Is there such a thing as footing by the way?   Sounds painful either way...
