I want to offer you all some encouragement
« on: April 16, 2008, 10:56:55 am »
Dont be down
Your situation can and will change, you just have to be thankful you have life and focus on the here and now. Be in the moment! Be happy!
Most battles are lost and won in the mind, so be careful how you think, and make sure your thoughts are positive.
If discovering that a loved one has cheated on you can make you physically ill, it means your thoughts and what you feel, aka the mind, rules the body. Therefore, think hopeful thoughts at all times, no matter your hardship, no matter the diagnosis, no matter how ill you feel. Remember that you must fight  to stay alive so that those who love you can continue to love you and not mourn you.

I dont mean to be preachy with the next statement, but I have to say it!
I personally have a relationship with Jesus, who is my Saviour, and that love and relationship is my salvation. Remember that Good is greater than evil and you are meant to live while you live and not be the living dead (in the mind).

Keep your chin up people and be sure to love yourselves at all times, and that includes encouraging yourselves as well. Dont blame yourselves, beat yourselves up or mourn over the past, just know that all things are possible! Especially healing!

Today is a day that God has made. Enjoy it. Dont be down! you will be OK!

Sure thing. i am glad you appreciate it. Someone sent me a PM saying that "if i think I am going to be able to preach here I am VERY mistaken" but I dont intend to preach. I just want everyone to focus on the good things in life and be uplifted and happy.

Hi Scott, welcome to the forums.

If you get any abusive PMs, PLEASE use the report button that appears under the PM. We don't allow the PM system to be used for stealth abuse - but the only way we know it's happening is when people tell us.

As long as you're not trying to preach and convert anyone, you're completely free to discuss your faith. We believe in free speech here, as long as it is not abusive. You might want to have a read of the (whole) Welcome Thread so you know what's what where posting is concerned. You'll also find links in that thread to other parts of this website you may have overlooked.

That is so true! The blame/shame game is a HUGE hurdle for anyone, especially in our culture, i think.
I wouldn't think that all things could be possible though. I mean, if that were so, then "possible" itself wouldn't have any meaning.
As far as your religious beliefs, well to each his /her own, and i wouldn't think anyone on this board would be persecuted for tyheir beliefs or ideas - especially not well-meaning ones.  :)

This is a really nice sentiment to post...thank you!  I didn't find it preachy at all.  Actually it is good common sense for having a healthy mind, body and soul.   :)

Overall, it's a nice sentiment.  But some might not believe in an all-powerful God.  It's all in the eye of the beholder.
