In honor of anal probes

I have my follow-up appointment with my colorectal surgeon today.  15 days of hell and he best not think he's putting anything up there to have a look.  My bm's have been about the size of a pencil and it hurts like hell still.  He can just keep his fat stubby fingers to himself.

Plus, he probably already thinks I'm a freak.  At our first appointment, I promptly took what I thought was the correct position.  Flat naked on my back with my legs raised to my chest.

Cherie if you tout de suit presented the fion, you are a freak!

Serioiously though, 15 days is kind of long to be suffering maybe if he needs to spelunk the cavern.

I thought so too until I started researching.  It's common to have pain for quite a while after they remove any internal mass that requires sutures.  I kinda suspected as much when he gave me a prescription for 100 oxycodones.  Which I have only a few left.

For the most part, I've been confined to this damn house the entire period.  The first week I was confined to my bed and bathroom.  Between constantly flushing the toilet and filling the tub, I hate the thought of our water bill this month.

is it impolite to say that I'm glad my surgery wasn't as bad as yours. LOL But I feel for you man, I really do!  :-* I just had the followup myself where I didn't get probed anymore but I was told a) no cancer (WooHoo!) b) I'm healing incredibly quickly and c) my tan makes my white ass look nice (w00t!) :D

I got tired of running all the bath water too. LOL I freaked my friends out pretty badly with some of my "soakings" though. I mean it is 90+ here and I do have that pool. All my RN friends think I was crazy to get into that water with all it's little microbes or whatever (hey! I put extra chlorine in) but it felt/feels soooo good. :D

good luck at the doctors today and let us know how it goes ;)

Thanks Mike.  Getting ready to head out shortly.  Downtown Columbus and all that traffic and my mother has to take me since I'm not able to drive yet.  I'm sure I will need a 3rd possibly a 4th glass of wine once I return home... ;D

I've done pretty well dealing with it all but anytime you're waiting on pathology results, it causes some anxiety.  I've gotten so used to the "it is what it is" mentality that I'll deal with whatever he says, good or bad.

it was downtown Columbia for me (i'm forever saying Columbus still, which frightfully annoys the Rebs down here LOL), and I had to have medicaid transport because my car has given up the ghost.  :( actually I'm going to have to butch it up and replace the alternator this weekend to get my car running again LOL

I really didn't realize how worried I was, as the doctor had said he didn't think the biopsy would show cancer, but gettting back a negative result turned out to be more stress-relieving than I imagined. Of course, with my late partners on my mind so much this month, and the specter of cancer running around, I guess it really wasn't unexpected that I had been more worried than I realized.

I'm sure the doctor will have good results/news for you and tell you the rest of your recovery will now be a breeze. ;)

Wasn't sure if I should continue this thread since it relates to treatment so I started a new one in that forum.  As I was leaving, he asked if I needed another script.  Hell yeah I do....(even though I didn't).  Who would actually answer no to a script of oxycodone? :D
