Title: I m living in hell
Post by: tom999 on February 21, 2012, 08:15:53 am
Hi guys and girls in this forum,,keep up the good work!
My story goes like this:5 years i go i have sex with a CSW,we had protected vaginal sex for some minutes but because i was so scared we continued with oral sex and then the condom broke while she performing me oral and she continued to suck(sorry for the language) and then she mastrubated at me.at 6 week my EIA test was negative and the doctor told me i have to retest at 12 weeks. Then exactly 10 weeks after the exposure i was very ill and i was hospitalized for a week with high fevers, maculopapular rash, lymph glands at my neck and lost some weight. The doctors runed some tests wich came back positive with rubeola virus. Then 2 years after i have seborrheic dermatitis all over my face and don t go away for all over a year now.
I m verry sad at this moment and i must find the strenght to go and test my self but i dont find the courage because inside me i know that it would be a positive result.

You never had a risk and you aren't dieing, so go to work. Even people that have HIV have to go to work, so cut the drama.

Whatever is going on with you has nothing to do with HIV. You used a condom for vaginal intercourse which is exactly what you are supposed to do. Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV.

Getting a blowjob is absolutely not a risk for HIV. It's one of the most common of sexual activities. In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a confirmed case of transmission in that manner. You are not going to make history by becoming the first.

You need to work with your doctors including your dermatologist to resolve the cause of your symptoms. HIV is not your issue so quit all the drama about that, please. You do not need to test for HIV.

Good luck with finding and resolving the real problem(s). It ain't HIV.

Rapid Rod You are terrible at this. I think its time they find someone qualified to deal with ppl who are coming to this forum as a resource for information and comfort. You are by far the least informative mediator on this forum and frankly, u seem like an insensitve angry person..Granted, I get that you deal with HIV-phobes on this site daily, and that may be a root of frustration, but that is your job and if you dont like it take a vacation or find somthing you DO enjoy! People come here in a state of panic and obviously are NOT informed.....Your advice to marshmallow was horrendous and patronizing. It almost seems like you enjoy being a jerk with your one dimensional, cold as ice responses. Put a little thought into it or DO NOT wtrite at all!!!...Not my ideal candidate for support..HOw is this even possible that you are on this site?..My god. Ann ( ban me if you must but holy crap this guy is out to lunch) PS I reported him already, how is he still here?..

Loa you should not be posting in other people's threads.  We have asked you before.  If you have any concerns about other members you need to report them to one of the moderators.

I did report him...and yet I still see his half ass'd advice to ppl coming to this site for support. Ban me or give me a time out then.. OR more importantly..focus on the fact that one of your mediators is a useless robot and void of sensitivity on a platform that REQUIRES sensitivity! thnx.

My wonder goes like this for the last five years:OK i had protected vaginal sex with a csw then oral sex with her wich means that vaginal secretions from the condom passed to her mouth and then the condom broke and she stills continued to perform oral sex about 2 minutes then 10 weeks after ill with all the syptoms at the hospital (they docs sayed it was measles after some tests but i don t believe it was that)I had all the std tests  and all came negative AgHbs,HAV,HCV,chlamydia and some others except for hiv after that because i was so scared....
To be honest i m so same for this situation because i see my bestfriend how she s doing fine and she s a fighter and me not even can sleep at night because it s the fear.......

Loa, you don't have agree with our rules here but you do have to follow.

I'm giving you a 7 day Time Out. If you break the rule again in the future about posting in the threads of other members you are going to find yourself being banned permanently from the site.

You're entitled to sound off about any of those who are authorized to respond but only in a report to the Site. Not in these threads. You don't have to like it but again, that's a rule.

I know I am breaking the rules, Loa, Rapid Rod is the man, he knows his stuff and his direct, straight to the point, no nonsense answers gave me comfort and more importantly knowledge and continue to do so. I trust him exactly because he is brief and straight up to the point.

If you want to be petted go to a zoo, if you need to know, without the fluff and puff, the real story, the real, front line knowledge, Rod is your guy.

You should apologize.

To the Original Poster, if Rapid Rod tells you something about HIV/AID or testing or exposure/risk, take it to the bank.

OK, y'all ban me now, I had to say it.

Thank you Rod and Ann also.

OK, y'all ban me now, I had to say it.

Your wish is my command. I'm giving you a 28 day time out for your blatant disregard of our rules.

Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.

Tom,

Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you are not going to be the first.

Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

Any vaginal fluids on the condom are also not a concern. Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. Not only were the vaginal fluids exposed to the environment, but also her saliva would have further damaged any hiv present.

Protected anal or vaginal intercourse is just that - protected. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection with the sex worker.

I have to ask though - this happened five years ago. If you have been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse with ANYONE in the years since, then you HAVE been at risk and need to test at three months following the last incident of unprotected intercourse.

It never ceases to amaze me how people only worry about sexual activities with sex workers, while being unconcerned about risks they take with people they date.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Tom, I'm awfully sorry about all the interruptions in your thread. Hopefully this will be the last one (bar someone else coming in and disregarding our rules).

Ann ( ban me if you must but holy crap this guy is out to lunch) PS I reported him already, how is he still here?..

Loa,

I've increased the time of your ban to 28 days. (sorry Andy) You have been warned many times about your disregard of our posting rules and enough is enough. Count yourself lucky that you are not permanently banned. Continue with this behaviour on your return and you WILL be permanently banned, so keep that in mind. I'm not messing and I'm not giving you any more chances. I originally thought you were a reasonable guy; guess I was wrong. "My bad", as the kids say.

About Rodney, his advice is accurate. If you don't like his style, don't read his posts. It's not up to you who is authorised to post here and who isn't, so mind your own business.

I m quite amazing from your answers, all the sites in the web,all the doctors say the hiv transmission could happen through oral sex, yes low risk but it s still is a risk
Also i m amazing about the certainty of Mr Alvez who said that I don t need to be test for hiv despite all of my symptoms(10 weeks after i was hospitiled with a nononucleozis-like syndrom).Anyway I want to thank you all for the answers I quess I have to wait to see what comes next.Mrs Ann I din t have any other sexual activities for the next five years(it s almost six now)because I fear I have the virus and I don t want to spread the disease...
Anyway thanks for the answers here,I dont want to consume your precious time anymore

I am also amazed that people still lump ALL forms of oral sex into one basket and call it a risk for HIV.

Receiving fellatio has never even been IMPLICATED, much less documented as a route for HIV infection

Receiving AND giving cunnilingus has never even been IMPLICATED, much less documented as a route for HIV infection

Only GIVING a blowjob (swallowing semen) has EVERY been a source of ANY controversy - and it still is. However, since the long term studies of serodiscordant relationships have emerged since the turn of the century, not a SINGLE documented instance of HIV transmission through this route have been detected. Which means that if it DOES happen it's a rare thing and under extraordinary circumstances.

You, friend, RECEIVED oral sex. This is a risk which has NEVER been implicated in HIV transmission.

I cannot imagine any other than the least informed doctors, and most ignorant and badly researched web sites would claim otherwise. I urge you to steer clear of HIV information sites that, rather than cite first tiered peer-reviewed science, simply (and lazily) link to other sites whose research is often A) outdated, B) intellectually lacking or C) harboring a religious or moralistic agenda.

Tom,

If you cannot bring yourself to believe us when we say you had no risk, go test, collect your negative result and move on with your life.

The ONLY thing you're at risk for here is feeling silly that you wasted five years of your life worrying about and thinking you have a virus for which you have not been at risk.

Ann
