Am i Infected?
« on: November 11, 2010, 11:05:18 am »
Hi Everyone,

I am new here, my name is James. I am Male and 31 years old.

I would like to ask few questions to clear my doubts and worries.

Here is my story...

On 18/09/2010, i had sex with a sex worker, who gave me 20 minutes of blow job without
wearing Condom. Later part, she tried to put condom on my penis, she seem like not knowing/skill to put on the condom on my penis. Then i also tried to help.
But the condom only can go the far on my half of my penis, at that time i cant wait.
Then we started the intercourse. About 2-3 minutes, when everythings done,  we took a hot shower together.
After showered we went on bed and she started to give me blow job for 25 minutes. But this time no matter how hard she tried, my penis cant get hard and i seem lost desired to have sex with her. Then i paid her money and leaved the place.

Here are what experienced am I been through and being at this close to 8 weeks time.
1) I had developed Rashed on 20days later on 8/Oct/2010, rashed on all my body, except my private part/Face/palm/feet.
-The Rashed look like few dots and barely flat, if i started to scratch it(Because it itchy) then it slowly became 1 big red patch and swollen(Bump).
-The Rash normally will be found at night time and it started grow when I am home. When i not at home, like go to office, the Rashed become lesser and eventually all gone.
2) On 12/Oct/2010, i had some low grade fever. I took some Panadols, fever gone within 2 hrs.
3) On 15/Oct/2010, 1 week later my rashes totally gone away.
4) On 19/Oct/2010 i did Elisa HIV + test after 31 Days. Result was Negative.
5) on 22/Oct/2010, i found my gum at lower part of my front teeth grew some White patch. First i guess it may be i brush too hard and caused it.
-I did found about 10-15 small black patch (Like birth mark) on my testicles.
6) On 29/Oct/2010, i found my Roof of mount having some white patch. It looks like OHL. :(
-At the same time, i found my tongue near to back grow some red spots. About 10-15 of it. What is that?
7) On 4/Oct/2010, i discovered my tongue front part at the top and both sites(only the front part) It seem like red dots, look like open wounds and also look like strawberry(those green or white dots on the Strawberry).
8 ) Most of the time i will feel tired, sometime really tired.
9) Night sweet, happen few times.
10) Headache sometime.

My questions as below;
1) Base on the above experienced that i had and some i still having now, am i infected?
2) How Accurate of the HIV test after 31 days?
3) Is my mouth symptoms are related to HIV?

Kindly give me some advice please.

Truly Regret :'(

Best regards,
James

Hello James,

The bottom line in all of the details you have given is that nothing you did put  you at risk for HIV transmission. The most important thing is that the head of your penis was covered during intercourse. It doesn't matter that it didn't cover the entire shaft of your penis. (You can look into buying others to use which roll all the way down if you want to for future use.)

Receiving oral without a condom is not a risk for HIV transmission.

None  of your symptoms are HIV specific. If they continue you should discuss them with your doctor to determine what the real cause is. There is no need for HIV testing unless you want to do that. It would be strictly for your peace of mind and I certainly would expect you to test negative.

Unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse are the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV. Use a condom everytime for those activities and you will be well protected.

This is NOT an HIV situation.

Hi Andy,

May i know what is the HIV symptoms are?

I been checking online, some mentioned within 2-3weeks, developed Rash. 90% of HIV+ had this significant symptoms = Rash.

I did had rashed on 20 days and i never have rashed in almost 20 years, which it i can remembered.

Thank you
James

James, the idea of a condom having a teeny hole through which HIV can pass is an urban myth. When a condom fails the whole thing goes and ends up looking like a hoop with fringe on the penis. So that didn't happen. You would have known very clearly that it had failed.

On the matter of symptoms, neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms should ever be the way you know about HIV status. Some people experience very striking ARS and others nothing noticeable. So when there is a real risk, the only way to accurately know HIV status is by getting tested for a conclusive negative result at 13 weeks. In your case testing is unnecessary because you didn't have a risk.

You never had a risk. If you are concerned about your symptoms go see your doctor.

Those are not HIV specific symptoms which is not a surprise since you were not at risk.

Discuss them with your doctor. This is not an HIV situation. Period.

Thank you guys for the advice.

The things that keep me remind myself You are in risk cause of my mouth symptoms.

1) Red patches about 10 -15 and size about 1mm to 2mm(some look like bump) grew on my tongue and near to my throat.
2)  tongue look like strawberry skin on top of my tips of tongue and both sides of tongue grew red patches about 20-40 patches(size "1mm) and some look like purple
3) dry mount sometime
4) ulcer once
5) few dots of purple/white/bubble spot on my inner mouth. Broken by itself and disappeared.
6) sometime felt body itchy and and red patch appear and disappeared within 5 mins
7) felt tired easily.
8 ) easily feel dizzy and feel like flu.

The above mentioned Symtomps are what am I having now.
The reason I am not go for doctor is because I believe they will ask me to go for blood test.
Think I will wait till 13 weeks after my last exposure, by then i will decide to see doctor or not.. Hope I do not need at all.

Thank you
Best regards,
Truly regret.

James, you need to listen. We cannot diagnose symptoms in this setting. Only a doctor can do that for you. There is nothing HIV-specific about any of the ones you are reporting, but then neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms will ever tell you anything accurately about your HIV status. If you have had a real risk such as unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse, only a test at 13 weeks can give you a conclusive result.

You haven't hard such a risk as we have told you repeatedly. So whatever is going on with you has nothing to do with HIV, although you don't seem to be willing to accept that.

I can tell you that if you continue to return here insisting that HIV is your problem, you are going to find yourself getting a 28 day Time Out from this site. HIV is not the problem. Period.

James,

You never had a risk in the first place, so it's no big surprise that you tested negative.

Even if you did have a risk, your three month test is conclusive. You do not have hiv.
