Little worried
« on: July 11, 2011, 02:42:36 pm »
First a little background, I am a heterosexual male located in America. I made the unfortunate choice of visiting a female message therapist with a happy ending. All she does is provide blow jobs or hand jobs, no sex to anyone, wouldn't even let me finger her while I was there.  I received (insertive) fellatio from her and did not come in her mouth.

Normally I wouldn't be worried but since it happened I contracted HSV-1. I have also been getting a bunch of acne around my mouth that when popped will leak clear liquid and blood, then scab over.

I was tested at 4 weeks for everything after the exposure and HSV-1 was the only thing that came back positive. Do I have any reason what so ever to get tested for HIV? This would be insertive fellatio without ejaculation and a one time exposure, which I believe would universally be agreed as a no risk exposure but would love to hear the mods feed back on my assessment of absolutely no risk.

No you don't have a reason to test for HIV, you've never had an exposure.

Thanks RapidRod. The whole reason I even wrote anything is worried24's posting in which he stated that multiple people in the "I just tested POZ" said it was related to oral sex.

Was he talking about people who gave blow jobs or received? I am trying to distinguish between the risk of the 2 separate acts. I think all publications that say there is a risk are only talking about GIVING not GETTING oral sex. Thanks again if this last question can be answered by a moderator I would greatly appreciate it and won't ask anymore questions regarding this incident.

Let's keep this simple as your fears are making the situation unnecessarily complicated.

In the entire history of HIV epidemic there has never been a single case of transmission of HIV to a man through his getting a blowjob. Not one! It wouldn't matter if you had a nick or sore on your dick or if you came in her mouth or whatever details you might through into the mix.

Getting a blowjob is zero risk for HIV. Period. As for giving oral should you ever do that, your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV.

Forget  about those stories of of people who talk about getting infected through oral. They never hold up under careful scrutiny for a number of reasons.

HIV is not your problem and sexually it won't be as long as you consistently use condoms every time you have vaginal or anal intercourse. It really is just that simple.
