I have ADAP and HSI in Missouri and have a Case Worker, which I could not imagine having HIV without these services. That is why every day I pray to Ryan White like a Saint. I re-found my Christian faith when I was diagnosed and starting praying again for the strength and courage to live through this.
Just wondering if anyone else does similar behaviors towards Ryan White?

? I pray to God... and I pray for everyone with this disease and I am thankful that Ryan White was able to get so much media attention for this disease... but, pray to him... I think not... pray for him and others.. yes!

um, no....but i do have a velvet painting of Elton John that cries.
-
lol... what a wonderful painting it must be....

You better pray they don't cut any more funding...and if God had anything to do with it we wouldn't be needing to pray for healthcare.

Matty the Damned does not pray. He is prayed to.
MtD

And probably prayed about as well.

The damned one may not pray but rumor has it he is constantly on his knees.

I'm an admitted liberal, but I pray to the Great Spirit and no one else. I've never prayed to saints. But, hey, whatever works I guess.
-
jpy867, you pray to Ryan White? or do you mean you talk to his spirit/memory/soul ?
Well, reborn one, don't allow your zeal to short-circuit your common sense. Too much of that crap in the new christian movements.
Take care of yourself and have a nice chat with angels or whoever, if you choose such meditations.
A believer in Christ--but not necessarily all that Christianity throws my way,

I remember Ryan and I write congress and the senate to keep his memory alive by not cutting any of the funds.

Nope, but I am thankful for knowing who that brave young man was.

Haaaaaa
I'm protected right now by the law in his name.
I will not pray to him but am sorry he died at such a young age.
-
I don't pray to him.. But I pray that his legacy continues to help those who need it...
-
He was a brave young man, who left this world WAY too soon......
He died before my true 'battle' with AIDS began (a year later) and never had the benefits of the protease drugs. I always admired him, and thought it was great that he never took the "innocent victim" stance; he embraced all people living with AIDS regardless of how they contracted it.

I often pray that the subway arrives quickly

I pray to God. But I did have a chance to meet Ryan when he was sick and in Riley Hospital for Children. He is buried no to far from Indianapolis in Cicero,Indiana. He was a big fan of G.I. Joes and had them all over his room at the hospital. Also good friends were Elton John and Michael Jackson who gave him a new Ford Mustang for his 16th birthday. His mom Jenne White is also a sweatheart.
