DHEA
« on: December 14, 2007, 09:35:42 pm »
I was reading on DHEA and how it helps on dementia, depression and boosting tcells in hiv patients. I was wondering if anyone on here has used it before? And if yes, did you have to get a prescription from a doctor or just got it over the counter.  I am considering getting it mainly to boost my Libido and also get rid of some fatigue and knee joint pains I get once in a while.  I read it improves alertness too.

I think the safer version may be 7 Keto DHEA.  I have read than regular DHEA can cause cancer.  Check with your doctor before taking

I've used it for about 10 years.  i take 25mg twice daily.  I don't notice anything from taking it or missing it.  I categorize it with other vitamins where hopefully there is a long term benefit.  If I do stop taking it for about a month or so, when I resume I do notice a slight boost in the libido, but it fades after a week or so.
