Support Body&Soul UK through a small project
« on: July 19, 2012, 02:21:11 pm »
Hi,

a few days ago I was searching the web for "hiv themed" charity rides in Europe. Whilst the US has the famous San Francisco to LA ride, there is no such thing on the old continent, despite the fact that cycling is very popular here.

Enter Cyclhope http://cyclhope.eu/our-mission/, a bunch of UK based guys who will ride from London to Rome this september. That's over 1000 miles and they are doing it in order to collect money for Body & Soul http://bodyandsoulcharity.org/about/philosophy/#s1, a small NGO that helps hiv+ people.

You can donate small or big amounts through JustGiving, a secure way to ensure the money goes to the charity.

My hope is that they will be able to turn this into a european version of the massive west coast ride. We need more ways to channel funding to take care of those who unlike me can still earn a living despite the virus.

Hope you join in,

Pat
