went to the youth group thingie again tonight
« on: August 17, 2006, 02:57:53 am »
7:00 PM on the dot I was back in the local Unitarian Universalist church of Bethlehem, PA to attend HAVEN (youth group for LGBT kiddies) again.

I was a little less nervous this time because it was my second visit, but there was still a tickly feeling because I knew there were going to be more people this time and I was like, "Ah, crap, they're going to think I'm lame."

But, long story short, they didn't. xD. There were about twelve people tonight. It was very cool. Our coordinator tonight was a transsexual MtF - and one of the kids attending was FtM, too. Which was an interesting learning experience for me because I am not typically around a lot of transsexuals. One of my friends is, but it's not something we really discuss. They tend to be more afraid to come out but at HAVEN it's veeerrry open and accepting and it was cool that people felt so comfortable that they could talk about it with us. Very very cool.

So, anyway, halfway through the meeting Marky went into the supply closet and pulled out a bag of balloons!!! :P And I blew the biggest balloon (oh yeah, baby :P) and Marky found a Sharpie for me and I drew a face on him and we decided he's now my Balloon Boyfriend!! Hooooray!:

I had a great time. :) I also got my hair cut today so I'll post pictures of that later on. I'm going clothes shopping tomorrow for school too so I'm having a great couple of days so far!

and feel free to suggest names for my balloon boyfriend because hes nameless right now LMAO

My friend named him Jeff. Don't ask me why. She goes, "Well, he looks like a Jeff!"

:P

And I'm lame because I'm awkward in groups of people. But I wasn't TOO awkward this time. Hehe.

He'd have to be named or nicknamed, Airhead or Jasair (given it is your air in there, or is it?)
Be forgiving, be grateful, be optimistic
