OMG!!! PLS HELP ME!!! THE FEELING'S KILLIN' ME!!!
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:50:57 am »
Hi thr!

I m currently 18 this year. French Kissed this guy a few mths back and had mono symptoms one mth after kissing him. ( Flu, sore throat - tht lasted for a week, high fever - 3 days... BUT NO RASHES AND NO SWOLLEN GLANDS, NO THRUSH, NO CANDIDIASIS )!!! BUT THE THING IS MONO SYMPTOMS ARE THE SAME AS HIV SYMPTOMS!!!

WE DIDNT HAVE ANY SEXUAL CONTACT WHATSOEVER.

I think I rmmberd I had a tiny open sore in my mouth on tht night, bt I wasnt aware tht HIV could transmit thru french kissing!!!!!

I brushed my teeth around 2 hrs before the KISSING!!! IS IT OKAYYY???

I didnt taste blood... which means no bleeding occured...
I dont think he has an open sore in his mouth... I dont even know if he has HIV!!!

WOTS THE RISK OF GETTING HIV???
AND
DOES LIP SUCKING COUNT IN TRANSMITTING HIV???

Its UNKNOWN if tht guy has HIV, bt THIS GUILT IS KILLING ME!!!
I cant concentrate on many many things tht I m doing lol...

PLS HELP ME!!!

***I DONT THINK HE HAS ANY OPEN SORES***

IS IT OKAY TO BRUSH UR TEETH BEFORE KISSING
AND
IF U BRUSH UR TEETH 2 HRS BEFORE KISSIN', IS IT OKAYYYYY IF UR GUMS BLEED AND U KISS SUMBODY (DOES IT INCREASE UR RISK) ???

You can cut the drama. At no time were you at risk of contracting HIV from kissing. Take the time to read the lesson on transmission. You can find the link in the "Welcome" thread.

sara,

If you feel something is "killing" you, then you need to see a doctor face-to-face, not post on an internet site. Otherwise, cut the dramatics. They don't fly here.

Kissing is NOT a risk for hiv infection. I don't care what you may have read on the internet or heard in the school playground. KISSING IS NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION.

Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

It doesn't matter if there was blood in his mouth. Unless you punched him repeatedly in the mouth before you kissed him, there couldn't possibly be enough present to cause infection.

Please read our Transmission Lesson, which is linked to in the Welcome Thread.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.

yeah, but how did I get all those 'symptoms'?

Will u classify them as MONO (the kissing disease rather than HIV) ?

See your doctor for your symptoms. They are not HIV related and cannot be diagnosed over the internet.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Instead of asking more questions about the same concern, just re-read what has already been said to you without reservation and quite clearly: You did not have a risk for HIV transmission. Period. End of story.
