---Continue----

Also after this test depending on the results I'll be moving my labs to every 6 months or every 4 months. Thought I would add that since really all my labs are actually really close to one another.  ;D

Generally this is true, but it's certainly not guaranteed. It could hover in the same neighborhood for a while, or even feasibly dip slightly. There's no sense on getting hung up this issue, it's the long term trend that counts. Think in terms of sets of 3-4 lab numbers, not one specific one.

I agree with this.  When I began HAART, my CD4 was 29, but my VL went undetectable within two months.  However, it took more than three years for my CD4 to rise over 300.

It's difficult to know what your baseline number should be since most people don't know those numbers prior to becoming positive.

Best wishes.

Ok so I just got done with my labs and they only made me pea in a cup and MET lab witch is to check liver since my last labs was up 10 I think normal is around 44 anyways I called my ID dr and he said he wants to wait and get the VL and CD4 when I get back in march since I'm UD and 424. Do you think this is a good idea or should I wait and take his advice?? Thanks

It's completely fine, and in fact quite normal, to wait until March. Relax and enjoy your trip, you're worrying about a lot of nothing.

:) Ok I got the results back from my (met) labs ie liver test and it's 46 I think normal range is like 4-44. So three point high last one was 55 so it's proved the dr was worried about it being a little high (nothing major) so he ordered just a liver test and I'll have cd4 and VL and whatever else is march when I get back from my vacation.

The addendum to this is as long as you feel good, and you are healthy then your actual CD4 count just has a theoretical bearing on the state of your immune system.
