Never thought I'd be back

Friends, it's been more than 2 years after my last visit and I thought I have learned my lesson and would never be back...well..I was wrong.

I apologize if I'm going to be lenghty.

I had a situation and the 'HIV/ARS jitters' are back again.

I'll divide this in 2 parts: 1)The event (exposure/not exposure) and 2)ARS

I had protected vaginal intercourse with a sexworker while in Brazil. I also had unprotected oral sex (i was the recipient) and french kissed the girl many times while we were meeting. It was a wild 'party' involving 2 sexworkers and a male friend of mine. (I know.....). The thing is..i got my mouth kissed after she was going down on him, so I started to get concerned if she might have had pre-cum on her mouth still when she kissed me or started to give me oral sex. (i had a cut in my mouth...cheek side...like the ones you get when you are eating and you accidentaly bite your own mouth..). This bite had happen a day or 2 before so it was not bleeding or anything but it was there. I' concerned if it would be possible to get anything from this friend's pre-cum in case the sexworker still had some in her mouth (he did not ejaculate on her ..it was just for a short while she gave him oral)? * I do not know the hiv status of my friend nor the sexworker

Question: Does it make any logic to be concerned about that?

The second part now, 2) ARS:

8 days (a week +1 day) after the fact, I started to feel colder than normal and had loose stool, with an uncomfortable feeling on my belly, which made me force vomit a couple of times. That day I felt like trash, had fever of 102, headache and i could barely stand up because I felt like my blood pressure was going way down when I did that. I took tylenol and took it light on what I ate that day. The loose stools were still there on day 2, but no fever (so fever it was a one day thing), but belly still not the best. So, headache lingered on for 2 days, but weirdly, only during the night (i woke up with a headache) and I had 2 intermitent days of night sweats (maybe because of the tylenol).
So, all and all the total days of having these symptoms were 2-3 days.

I checked for generalized lymph nodes enlargement, rash and etc..but I did not have those.

My second question would be, I read on the lessons learned that ARS happens between 2-4 weeks after exposure and that it last for about 1-2 weeks. Given what I felt, I thought it was more likley to be a stomach flu or a rotavirus but, Does it make sense for me to worry about what I had being ARS given mine started one week after the fact and lasted for 3 days, with headache being on and off and fever for 1 day?

Kem,

One, nothing you describe is a risk for hiv infection. NONE of it. You did the right thing and used condoms for intercourse and that's all you needed to do.

Two, symptoms or even the lack of symptoms mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection. If you're having physical problems, see your doctor.

You did NOT have a risk.
