A nice mix.  I like the DanActive Drink as well as the Activia Yogurt.  I usually try to have one of each every day.  I do the B12, E, Selenium, Omega 3 and multi-vitamin for the rest.  No other magnesium, but do take a zinc pill.  Prefer to actually drink tea.

Just remember you can't make up for everything a poor diet is lacking with vities/supplements.  So, I hope you are doing the fruit/veggies and lots of water routine as well.

This is the list I take, essentially, I build my own program based upon KPAX formula, but purchased from Newyorkbuyersclub.org which comes in at about half of KPAX cost.

KPAX is a formula develop by DR. John Kaiser. My univiersity specialist doesn't believe in boutique care. And is skeptical about nutiritional supplementation in general as there isn't much formal study to base decision making on. But has had a more open mind lately as he has some slow progressors who are taking supplements. He now said to me, what ever your doing, keep it up.

I don't want to come off as an advocate. It is what I have found on the internet, thought compelling and now follow. I think that the newyorkbuyersclub.org is a tremendous resource, and as a non-profit, a great place to get your nutrients as a fair price.

Hi racingmind
You seem to have a pretty good program there. And the fact that you eat lots of fresh stuff and have given up smoking are totally in your favour too of course.

Zinc?  Is that something I'm missing?

From stuff I've read and heard, I believe zinc is one of the minerals that is reduced first and foremost in hiv+ folk. (Perhaps someone else here might be able to explain the science behind that...?). I take 30mg daily.

My supplement program (below) was recently tweaked after a consultation with a nutritionist:

B complex (B vits, vit B12, folic acid)
Nutriguard Plus (lipoic acid, zinc, selenium, betacarotene)
Acidophilus
Vitamin E
Vitamin C
MSM
EPA liquid

I also curently take extra lipoic acid, zinc and selenium, to make up the amounts I want/need. I'm due to see my nutritionist again in a few weeks, when she should have come up with a suitable base multivitamin which will cover the extra zinc/selenium I'm taking (meaning less pill popping!).

Hope the stopping smoking is going well. Bravo to you for that!
