Title: Eyptian Airline flight lands in Scotland

Plane enroute from Egypt to JFK landed 5 mins from my home yesterday  in Scotland due to a threat to set the plane on fire.

The pax and plane are now back in New York .....leaving behind 5 passengers who are claiming political asylum!

Didn't the same thing happen yesterday except it landed at Heathrow? Same route too -- Cairo to NYC. We need start reading more folks' emails.

The plane was sent here as Heathrow's flight path is too highly populated and we are next to the coastline in a more rural area.The passengers were all interviewed before flying onwards to the USA.
Two fighter jets escorted the plane into Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

Dubbya had to make an emergency landing in Louisville.  No fighter jets, though.
