Am I infected pleased help!
« on: December 18, 2012, 10:13:18 am »
On nov4 I had what I believe was protected sex (he used a condom) I didn't know him, it was my first time. Well to make the story short he wasn't able to penetrate me. Well on nov 30 I got real bad chest pain and a white tongue. Doc at emergency room said it was cause I of a medication I took in cause I ended up with an std doxycycline hyclate for 10 days 100m from nov 6 to the 16. Well he said I also had a ulcer. That's why chest pain and throat pain mix with the white tongue. Well sore throat and cough last two weeks got over that. Now from dec. 4 to know I've been having real bad body aches and cold sweats at night. I feel pain in my arms on my right thigh like a pinch. The pinch feeling go's everywhere . Then my hands feel like there buzzing sometimes so do my legs. On dec. 10 tested neg. they did the test that get something from ur gums. My family say its anxiety, but I really believe something is wrong. I've come to believe that I am so I don't get shock later. No one seems to understand me they think I'm making it up. Has any one else had these symptoms? And if I am infected how well it really take before I start to die or get aids? I really hope to here from someone that understands what I'm going thru.. Thank you

Jlo,

1, he used a condom and 2, he didn't penetrate you. You did not have a risk for hiv infection.

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv.

So what about the symptoms I hv... Like the stiff neck ... I get hot flashes thru out my body... I never even seen if the condom broke or if he but precome in me... Is my shoulders pain , hand joint pain a symptom the hot flashes thru out my body. Also I feeling tingling under my breast then it his to the back of my arm and on the side. Also I hv notice little redish dark purple gots on my body there space out I know or remember if I already had them before... Like right now I feel a burning sensation in my arm.... In my right thigh inner upper like a pinch... Could my body be seroconverting ? None the less the truth is my doesn't feel right I been to plan parent hood , the aids project some how they say its in your mind but I know my body. Even when I ask to go to the clinic to see doc they didn't see my symptoms as hiv symptoms . But I've read in the Internet the symptoms and so far I've gotten the sore throat .. Stiff neck white tongue .. Cold sweats , a couple of fevers and now this body ache on my bones, elbows knees fingers ... But I guess there is really not much to do about it only but and then get tested in three months from exposure ... I just hope that I can be strong like a lot of other people who hv gotten hiv and been able to make a life.... Thank for ur response

Your symptoms are in NO WAY indicative of acute HIV infection.

Which is no surprise since you DID NOT HAVE AN EXPOSURE.

We are absolutely not going to indulge your martyr fantasies here. It's insulting.

I want to first apologize to anyone that I may offend. To me this is no laughing matter or even a joke. I guess what has me stressed out is that even though  he used a condom , I don't know if it broke, I know that he put saliva to us has a lubercant. My problem is that I've never hv felt these symptoms before. I've tested neg. in the other stds that plan parenthood did. Besides I took medication as mentioned before. So from what I've read and the way I feel looks like I hv been exposed. I've made an appointment to see a doc jan. 8 ill probably go get tested again jan4. And if it comes out neg. then I hope the doc can tell me what's wrong with me. But I truly feel bad if anyone has taken offense to my symptoms ... Truthfully I'm reall scared.... Thank you for spending the time to read and respond to my concern and I really hope ur right... Thank you....

J, if the condom had broken you would have known it. When that happens it's not about itty bitty little holes. The entire thing goes and ends up looking like a hoop with strands hanging on the penis.

His having used saliva as a lubricant is irrelevant in terms of risk. We don't think you had a risk so your getting tested is strictly for your peace of mind. Period.

Thank you once again.... I read that symptoms for hiv infection r soar throat , fever , fatigue , and muscle pain.... Now wouldn't my symptoms of muscle pain, joint pain be a syptom ..... Tingling in my arm, the white tongue.... I really do want to believe that I had no exposure ... But when I wake up and tell myself I'm going to just forget about it and just hv a good day at work... My body feels like its under attack , tired , acheing.... Yesterday I started coughing again this morning gone. A little red dot came out on the side of my tongue. I wish there was a better way to know what r the symptoms of hiv. If I would hv been exposed would there hv been a clear sign by now it's been 7 weeks . I wish I wouldn't stress so much and bug u guys with how I feel. But I hv no one to turn to. How could I feel so bad for so long. I've gotten sick before I know what it's like , but this is different . My sister say anxity.... But how could I get this sick with anxity ? Please forgive me for stressing and bothering u with these questions time has never moved so slow. Hope to here from someone thanks ... And once again I apologize if any one takes offense of my concerns and the way feel....

Neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms is ever the way to know about HIV status. Only an HIV test can give you that answer reliably if you have had a real risk.

But, BUT you haven't had a risk. So whatever is going on with you symptomatically has nothing to do with HIV.

Discuss your symptoms with a doctor if you need to. I can tell you we're not going to continue to respond to your questions nor indulge you in your drama about this incident. Just because you don't have an explanation for your symptoms does not by default mean HIV is the cause. It isn't.

This is a warning that if you return again about this same incident you're going to find yourself getting a Time Out for 28 days from this site. HIV is not your problem. Period.
