Treatment has been good
« on: May 02, 2007, 01:07:47 pm »
treatment so far has been real good for me. i still worry about longterm but that is a wait and see what happens.
so here goes...i started HAART in July 06 with Sustiva Truvada and in many ways i started to feel better and was able to eat much more and put on a few pounds. however the CNS side effects and sleep problems never went away from the Sustiva. i replied to many a post bashing the drug, not bashing treatment and it's not the drugs fault really. i just couldn't tolerate it so just about a month ago i switched to Truvada Norvir Reyataz and life has been beautiful since. i feel like my old self again and i haven't felt that way since seroconversion. i was able to sleep again with no sleep aid. i dropped my sleeping pills and sleep 8 hours every night. so i don't want to ramble pointlessly but going on treatment was good for me and switching to right combo was better. so i can say it can be done. people can take Sustiva good but if it give you problems try a switch if possible. if Kaletra gives you the shits try Reyataz. all i can say is i put off treatment a few years and had i known it would have this easy i would have started long ago and if i had known switching was easy too i wouldn't have waited 9 months. i have had no side effects since and hope to take this combo for a long, long time.
