Fang's latest trick de jour is placing herself in "time out".....she goes into the corner, and sits facing it, just staring at it. Why? Who knows.
Also, if I didn't know it was impossible, I would SWEAR she is pregnant. Her little belly is practically dragging the floor. But (1) she has never left this apartment except in her carrier, and (2) she is spayed.
Perhaps she is not in time out, but rather is in prayer....Maybe there's been a 'miraculous conception'......I'll have the next kitty Saviour to raise! I wondered why she had taken to wearing a blue veil lately....I'll have to dig the manger out of the Christmas decorations.
Hugs,
Alan and the Virgin Fang

:D :D..I think she is just looking for attention...or.. maybe she is praying for ways to get rid of the new B/F...we all know how jealous she is... ;)
Hugs
Jan :-*
P.S..if it is an immaculate conception I want the first born... :D

haha... ;D
Fang sounds like one helluva cool cat. What a character!!!
I think Jan may have a good point about praying the b/f away. hmmm hehe

Has she started seeing things yet Alan? I always get a little freaked when my cats eyes start following something around the room, a something that I can't see. Is it a ghost? a spirit?
With the tummy Alan, many female cats get a 'flap' of skin on their under bellies after such a procedure. It hangs down beneath their bellies and wobbles around when they run etc. One of my cats, Venus, has made it her sole purpose in life to fill that flap of skin with all the cat food she can consume :o. she's happy trying and almost all the way there ;D

Cats I have served have often chased imaginary bugs...just make sure she's not making a liquid editorial comment as she stares at the corner..if she does, let me know and I'll tell you my further experiences.

Well, truth be told, I think she's just getting FAT. Who was it that recently posted those 'fat cat' photos? She'll be posing for those next.....
She just lolls around on her back, letting her belly flop around....
Jan, if she has an immaculate conception, I'll make sure you are the 'godmother'.
She doesn't know it yet but she's being put on a diet.....I'll buy the Iams weight maintenance or whatever it is that is low cal...

Alan,
Good luck getting fang to eat that stuff. My cat, Kitty C, International Cat of Mystery, won't touch it. Home to the Southwest will eat the dogs food instead. Fang sound like she rocks. If you ever come to the southwest, bring her. K.C. would love to have a friend he could teach all his clever little tricks to. Such as swimming, teasing the neighbors Pit Bull, and beating up the landlords Boxer (who is dumb as a stump) But the best trick is when he catches some poor critter, drags it home and lets it go in the house while it is still very much alive. Last week found a 4 foot long Bullsnake in the bathroom. I'm not bothered by snakes at all, and thought of letting it stay so that the next time he brings home a gopher or rabbit, the snake would take care of the problem, leaving me free to pursue other forms of recreation.

I had a very fat cat. The vet told me to put him on a diet. I tried. He wouldn't eat any of the diet cat food I bought and all he would do is sit and meow...real loud!
So I decided that he was a fat cat...gonna stay a fat cat...and he died a fat but happy cat.

Hey Allen...
I had a cat named Ms Peepers for sixteen years (since she was born in my store room out back on the patio)... During those sixteen years she never ceased to amaze me the things she could do to "get" my attention. This morning I came across a picture of her...just thought I'd share it with you and everybody.

Aww David, she was a real cutie. I know you miss her. She's at the Rainbow Bridge, of course, but you know that already......
Hugs,
Alan
PS - Fang doesn't go outside but IF she did and she brought in a snake, she would be taken to the Humane Society as soon as I got home from the ER from having a heart attack.....

Good luck with the diet food Alan.
Like others here, my cats will not touch it. How do cats know that it is diet kitty food? I feed 'em Science Diet and from what I can see and smell there is no difference between the full calorie and low calorie but the cats know. Some cats just like being fat - maybe it mkaes their tummy more sensitive for when they roll over and demand a rub ;D
A quick question Alan and others. How do you sleep in in the mornings without your cats waking you?
I don't have the answer yet. I sleep with my door open and more often than not I have two dead wieghts asleep with me on my bed at night. If I try and sleep in past 7am in the morning I have one cat at one end licking my hair and face and the other at the other end reaching in under the blankets scratching and biting my feet.
And those high pitched, 'i'm starving to death' screeches that they put on as they run in and out, between your legs trying to trip you up as you head downstairs toward their food bowls! What is that about? Don't they realise that they are going to trip me up and kill me one day? or is that the plan?

Steve,
My Dad always used to say "if it gets hungry enough, it will eat"......but I am such a softie, I start getting upset if she doesn't lick her bowl clean, so you're probably right, I will never be able to get her on diet food.
We've already cut WAY down on the treats...only about 3 or 4 for 'breakfast'.
(can you tell that Fang is incredibly spoiled?) Oh and I caught her meditating in the corner again awhile ago...it really is wild.

Alan,
I'm a big softy like you. If Serena does not like what I put down for her she squeals like mad and then tries to bury it like she does to her pooh in the kitty litter. Cracks me up every time.

"she squeals like mad and then tries to bury it like she does to her pooh in the kitty litter"
LOL!
