concern about symptoms

before i start, i would like to mention that i have two wives. somewhere in mid-september 2009, i had a protected sex with a CSW from mainland china in kuala lumpur. i didnt feeling anything weird after that.

on october 14, i had sex with my 1st wife. and on 26 october, i had taken my 3rd Hep B booster. two weeks after that, she started to have flu, running nose and cough. this is also has infected our 9 months breastfeed baby. few days after that, i started to have flu, running nose, cough with phlegm, stomach crampp and my tongue has white spots on it. after a week of flu and i started to have fever, i went to see a doctor for treatmement because i felt so tired, felt unenergetic, urine infection, bad joint and muscle pain as never had before in my life. the doctor said i got tonsil (?) and asked me whether i have other disease for which i felt a bit weird. then he gave me anti-biotic, cough syrup and some flu medicine. but after 6 days the flu still dont go away. i also sweat at night during this time, but because i am always sweat all day so i think there is nothing wrong with it.

my worries came when my second wife showed me last saturday that she got an unkwown bruise on her thigh, her vagina became smelly and has yeast-like thing and also new veins can clearly seen on her hands (lipoatrophy?). at the same time, my 1st wife, after recovering from the flu, she said she has lost weight about 2kg in 3 weeks, starts to develop rash on both of her hands/shoulders and her stool looks soft everyday. now, i feel pain in my genital and i feel like there is small thing like a pimple underneath my ear at my left neck. all of these happened between the 2-6 weeks time frame.


funny thing, i started to think about something has gone wrong when i had sex with the CSW.  this has really made uncomfortable and started to think that the condom might be broken. but as far i aware, it didnt not.

my questions are:

1. what are the realistic chances something like this could really result in an HIV infection?
2. but how to tell if it a condom was broken? could it be  possible with cheap condom?
3. does the sickness/symptoms i mentioned above sound like Acute HIV infection?
4. do symptoms show up typically all at the same time or are they delayed in order?
5. how sweat a person can be if he is being infected with HIV?
6. does Hepatitis B give any significant respond to HIV?
7. i am planning to take the HIV test on 16 November. is it a suitable date or still in the window period? what type of test should i take? if it came out negative, should i retake the test again and when?

It's not clear from what you have written whether you have had unprotected intercourse with a sex worker. As long as you consistently used condoms then there is no cause for concern about HIV in relation to them, assuming the condoms did not break. And you would have known if a condom had broken because it's very visible and ends up looking like a hoop with fringe on your penis.

There is nothing in either your wives or your symptoms that is in any way HIV specific. Neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms is in fact the way to know about HIV status. When there has been unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse the only way to reliably know HIV status is to get tested at 13 weeks past the most recent questionable incident.

This is an indelicate question but I am going to ask it anyway. Are your wives monogamous with you? I ask this because only when in a monogamous relationship can the use of condoms be dispensed wtih.
As with you, there is nothing HIV specific about their symptoms. If they continue they should be discussed with their doctors and you should do the same.

At this moment I don't see any reason to think HIV is involved in your situation. We do recommend that anyone sexually active ought to regularly have a full STD panel done. That means at least once a year. Other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV.

the CSW gave an oral without protection and i wore condom during the intercourse.

as far i am concerned, both of my wives are monogamous with me. unless both of them really know how to cover any affairs behind me. hope not. and for me, im not the type who usually goes to have sex with CSW, given i already have two wives. it was totally my first time this year because an oversea business partner came to my city and wanted to have fun some.

did you mean with the statement above, what we are experiencing like flu, cough, stomach cramp, bad joint or muscle pain are not the symptoms or HIV infections? because from my reading, i thought they were. and my second wife is currently experiencing diarrhea since yesterday until now. she went to the toilet for about 15 times in one night alone.

can you please answer my questions below?

4. if a person is infected with HIV and got diarrhea, how long the diarrhea will last? 1 day? 2 days? or more?

You did not have a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a blowjob isn't a risk because not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

Protected intercourse isn't a risk for hiv infection because condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. A broken condom is VERY obvious and you would have noticed if yours broke. It didn't and you were protected.

There have been long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

1. You have a better chance of waking up with 20,000 wives in the morning instead of two.

2. If symptoms happen at all - and they don't always - they usually happen no sooner than two weeks after infection has occurred. They come on all at once and leave all at once, usually after about a week.

3. Do not understand the question.

4.1 Diarrhea is not an hiv specific symptom.

4.2 Hep B has nothing to do with hiv and does not affect hiv tests. Neither does hiv affect hep B tests. Hep B vaccines will not affect the tests nor will they affect hiv seroconversion.

5. You don't need to test over this incident, so a test at any time will give you a reliable result.

It sounds to me like your family has the flu or some other common illness. If you and your wives continue to feel unwell, see your doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv as you did not have a risk for hiv infection.

Continue to use condoms when you are not with your wives, correctly and consistently, and you will continue to avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

what i meant with "how sweat a person can be if he is being infected with HIV?" is i have read somewhere that those infected normally will have fever and sweat a lot. is it just a normal sweat or like drench sweat?

The "night sweats" associated with hiv infection are NOT like normal sweats. It's more like someone dumped a bucket of water on you. They are drenching.

Once again, you did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.
