KlassyKitty Coming To South Florida Tomorrow (8/17)
« on: August 16, 2013, 09:43:32 pm »
KlassyKitty will be making her way down to South Florida to hang out with me from tomorrow until Sunday...

Tentative plans (I have overloaded it so it is definitely subject to change)

1) Swap Shop (one of the biggest indoor/outdoor flea markets in the US and Florida's second largest tourist attraction) http://www.floridaswapshop.com/swap.html

2) Then head to Wilton Manors for late lunch and some drinks
Rosie's (website makes it look all gay - but it is a very mixed crowd and the place to be for a good/simple bite to eat in Wilton Manors) http://www.rosiesbarandgrill.com/

3) Then to some of the bars in Wilton Manors for a few more drinks:
The Alibi  - http://www.alibiwiltonmanors.com/
Village Pub - http://villagepubwm.com/

4) Then to Hollywood
Hollywood Beach (the boardwalk) - plenty of places to eat and drink, including Ocean Alley  http://oceanalley.net/
and off to the.....
Hardrock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood (where Anna Nicole Smith died) - http://www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com/

5) Then head to North Miami Beach
Duffy's - https://www.duffysmvp.com/

6) Then North Miami
Billy's Pub Too (she will love it - I think) http://www.billyspubtoo.net/home.php

7) Then to South Beach....
Clevelander - http://www.clevelander.com/
Mango's South Beach - http://mangostropicalcafe.com/
Twist - http://www.twistsobe.com/

and home.....

Then, on Sunday - depending on how we are feeling....
Some breakfast and either a ride out by the Everglades to see some alligators.... laying out everywhere by the side of the road..... and/or

Gulfstream Racing and Casino - horseracing, etc....  http://www.gulfstreampark.com/

I should be able to post plenty of pics - we shall see...

Of course, any of the above is subject to change should we get too messed up at any one of the places....   ::)

You guys have a great time.  I have been to that flea market and absolutely loved it.  I wanted to make an entire day of but wasn't allowed. :(

We did!!!  Boy, did we ever!

Yesterday:
Flanigans - drinks and meal (Michelle tried the dolphin sandwich - which is not really a dolphin, it is a dolphin fish)

Then.....
Duffy's Sports Bar ---- Michelle had her screwdrivers - Me Corona

Then....
A long night at The Clevelander, on South Beach with more screwdrivers and Coronas (and Michelle was loving it because it is bike week on SoBe)

Today...
TIRED - I'm an old man - She has entirely too much energy for someone with only 1/5 of the CD4s I have!!!!

What is wrong with this picture.....

So, we are going to get something to eat very soon, because we are both starving....
And do Hollywood Beach / Broadwalk...

And go from there....

Looks as though it was nice and breezy , looking at the palms.  We've been having some fantastic afternoon thundershowers all week.  Had a good amount of rain so far this summer.( which I don't mind)

Had a great weekend last weekend with Phil and Dwayne. :) :) :)
South Beach was neat.  The Clevender was a fun place.  I have never heard so much party, dance music in one night. Flanagins had great food, and Duffys had great drinks and boats.  Hollywood Beach was fun.  Had a great lunch and a nice walk on the beach to get seashells.

My drive back to mommys was interesting.

I stopped at Sawgrass Recreation Park and took an airboat ride, they have a little zoo there and I walked around it.  It has wildlife that you normally don't see, most of the animals were injured so they aren't able to live in the wild. The coolest part was holding a baby alligator,  :)  poor guy had his mouth taped shut. :'(

Drove in rain from some town until I got to mommys.  I even got to see a transformer thing on a telephone pole go boom and pretty sparks.   Scared the hell out of me.

Going to see Ray and Ed one more time, then the beginning of Sept will head back home. :'(    I should get home the day before classes start.

We have a couple different ideas, for next Saturday.  I will give you a call in the beginning of the week, to see what you think.

Willie--If I had found a job while I was here I would have stayed.  I had a place to stay at until I found my own, but didn't find a job so back to PA, and I'll job hunt there (I lost my job right before I went to FL.), and classes start monday.

I will be back next year, sooner if mommys dr. says she can have a caregiver.

I had a blast with Phil & Dwayne (spelled wrong isn't it?) and Ray and Ed.  I even bought a bathing suit top and shorts.
