Airborne (testimonial?)
« on: December 11, 2006, 12:24:47 pm »
Anyone ever tried this stuff?

Holy shit.  I drove to Portland to visit my best buddy Margo over the weekend, and by the time I got there it was obvious that I was coming down with something.  Aches and pains, shivering, sweating...yep...something was up.

She pulled this stuff out and made me drink a shot glass full.  It was freakin' miraculous.

Anyone ever tried this, or anything similar?

I did wonder about the contents (after-the-fact)...you know...the old rule "if it's strong enough to help you, it's strong enough to hurt you..."

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

Just make SURE you put it in water.  I took my first airborne out of the little ROLO tube thingy and looked at it, MAN was it huge, but hey I take Atripla this mouth can handle anything.  I noticed it was Orange flavored so I decided if it has a flavor it must mean that it is to be CHEWED!  Yeah, it tastes like shit, well shit with fizz anyway.

Dont forget the water people.

I saw this in the store and laughed about it.  This product is marketing creating a need for a product.

It is nothing more than a supersized vitamins at a very high price.   Look at the ingredients and you'll see there is nothing in this mixture that a good supplement would have.  Personally, get a good A to Z vitamin and you'll have the same coverage.

Personally, the money could be better spent on other things (like hand sanitizer).

I've been using it for a couple of years now; great, great product.  Sam's or Costco - can't remember which one - was selling a 3-pack (3 rolls) of the stuff this weekend for $10 or $11 bucks (which is a deal, when you consider what Walgreen's or CVS sells it for, per pack).  I take one before I am going to be around crowds (if I know of it, in advance).

Anyway, I'd suggest talking with you doc about the product; mine is no fan of it.

I totally agree with your assessment.  It's no different then my daily arsenal of vitamins which I probably pay a lot less for in the long run.  I do seem to avoid a lot of sicknesses though.  Folks, go out and buy a good multi-vitamin and you'll be just as pleased.

I have started using it if I know I am going to be in a crowd....

Also, I had to go to a dinner at my sister-in-law's and she had a terrible cold, so I took one in advance....

so far, so good!

I am a sucker(nopun)for shit like this.  When my lipodystrophy was out of control several years ago,I was one of the morons who bought that vibrating belt they were selling on TV that supposedly took inches off your waist without excercising. I am still taking shit for falling for that one.
