HELP !!! I am so scared of HIV
« on: January 25, 2011, 09:51:22 am »
Good Morning, I want to tell you my story in details.

Three years ago I was a seventeen year old boy. I live in Lebanon, in the middle east.

One day I grabbed the penis of an almost 14 year old friend of mine, and I tried to masturbate him. But I did not hold his penis much. And I am not sure if he ejaculated or pre-cummed.

The problem is my hand was cut that day around 2 hours before i grabbed his penis. The cut was not that severe. I was like a skin cut, it gave some blood then it stopped.

Later that night my hand started burning and the pain went all the way up to my biceps.

Around 2-3 weeks later, I noticed a non painful neck lump on the right of my neck. I went to the Doctor and he did 4 blood tests for me, and he found out that I have a high level of Toxoplasma IgG in my blood, and negative Toxoplasma IgM. I took Spiramycin for two months, eventually the lump became small but it did not disappear ever since, but also it did not change size.

After I was done with the medication, around one week later I had a sore throat alone, for around 6-10 days - can't recall the exact number.

After that was gone, it was nearly the third month after i tried to masturbate my friend. My eye lid and muscles started twitching, then some muscles, and my muscles shake when i apply pressure or load on them. I also, had what turned out to be jock's itch. Then I had a Flu without coughing just very high fever and constipation for one day.

Seven months later I started having water filled eczema blisters all over my hands and feet. Then after wards I had them on my behind.

Recently, I have been suffering from what looks like folliculitis, in my scalp. and inner thighs. Also, I have noticed that my tongue is pale pink, and a little bit hairy, with white coverage. I also had some boils in my arm, and inner thighs.

I also started having pains under my armpits, neck , and inner thighs.

I also had what seemed to be sinusitus, I went to the Doctor and he gave me some medicines. He thought it was allergies.

During the whole period my weight was fluctuated between decrease and increase, and some times it stayed constant for a while.

I have met my friend recently he was chubby, but now he lost a lot of weight.

I was worried ever since the first day. It has taken all over my life, it has paralyzed me. It is driving me crazy. I am so afraid. I never had sex at all.

What is this? Could it really be HIV?

Please, Please, Please inform me. Help Me.

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.

Thanks, for reassuring me.

If you have any idea about what i was suffering, and currently suffering, please tell me.

do you think that folliculitus and my tongue issue are due to my severe anxiety ???

Thanks, and if you have any tips about treating folliculitis please share them.

Anon,

We cannot diagnose you here nor will we even attempt to diagnose you.

What we can tell you is that you have not had a risk for hiv infection. Absolutely no risk.

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv as you never had a risk for hiv infection.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

You need to slow down and breathe, right now. No kidding. Do it.

Now, you are worrying completely without any basis in HIV science about the incident you had quite a while ago. The only confirmed risks for the transmission of HIV sexually are through unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Use condoms for those everytime and you will be well protected.

HIV is a fragile virus and absolutely is not transmitted in the manner about which you are so concerned.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV. If they continue you should discuss them with your doctor.

There is no need for further concern nor for HIV testing.

Thank you all for your amazing help.

I need to ask you one more question. As a result of what you are saying the cut in my hand does not transmit the virus. There are specified ways only. Did I get it right?

Thanks again.

That's right. HIV is transmitted via unprotected anal and vaginal sex, sharing contaminated needles and syringes and in some cases from HIV positive mother to her unborn or nursing infant.
