Worried about Oral Sex with open injuries in my gum
« on: December 03, 2011, 04:46:59 pm »
I met a girl in a friends party and two days later she visited me in my house. We both had oral sex,while she was receiving from me with my mouth on her vaginal. On that morning before she visited,i had a hard brush on my tooth, where i got my gum and my tongue injured to the extent that i could not eat perperish food..
After a while,she complained i was too hard on sucking her,that she feels she has been hurt. After everything while i was alone,it done on me that i had open injuries in my mouth and i have been so scared if she is infected with hiv or not..please kindly help me to know if there is any possible means of hiv transmittion if she happens to be infected.I am really worried.

I appreciate your answer,thank you very much.Though, i have just one more question. I have read in this forum severally that saliva destroys HIV because of the dozens of enzymes and proteins it has.Now this is my question;
I also had a deep kiss with this same girl whom i have not known before we met at a friends party.Knowing fully well that i had open injuries in my tongue and gum as a result of hard tooth brushing,i have been scared and worried. Now what if she has a high viral load of hiv in her and she also happen to have a bleeding gum or tongue,does it mean that the virus will not survive inside her saliva,while there could be every tendency of both of us having saliva contact with our open injuries in our gums and tongue during our deep kissing?Please make me to understand what the risk of transmittion of HIV could be if she is infected,Thank you.

No matter what details you throw into the mix, kissing is not a risk for HIV transmission. There are no documented cases of transmission in that manner. I don't see you as being likely to make history by becoming the first.

You are worrying needlessly. Get on with your life. Really.

This means even with the injuries on my tongue and with the deep kiss,as long as saliva is involved,there can not be any possible means of transmittion? Apart from the fact that no one has ever be confirmed to get infected through kissing in history,i just wanna be certain that the saliva could absolutely destroy HIV in the mouth. Just your last response and i wont bother u about this issue,thanks.

Randie,

You are NOT going to be infected through kissing because saliva is NOT infectious. Kiss all you want - you are NOT going to be infected with hiv that way.
