Hello everybody , i would like first to appologize for my bad english and to thank you all for your help.
Yesterday , when i was in a nightclub i saw a girl on her knees in a the bathroom when i checked on her i saw that she tried to cut her veins so i tried to help her by pushing her hand but then a broken glass infected with her blood cut my finger.I a m now very worried because the blood was fresh and the cut was a little deep that it bleeds for severeal minutes but not that deep to seek sutures.Did i take a big risk ?

The risk of contracting HIV in the manner you are concerned with is not significant .
HIV is fragile and is damaged instantly when exposed to conditions outside the body , small changes in temperature and PH levels damage HIV and render it unable to infect .
There is also the obstacle of the skin cells on the finger not being the kind that makes a HIV infection a significant risk . If you immediately come into fresh blood and have a deep open wound it is theoretically possible for an HIV infection to occur , most likely that kind of wound would require sutures .
If you are uneasy and want to test for peace of mind you can do so 6 weeks past any possible exposure and again at 3 months to confirm the results . I would not think testing is necessary in this situation but like I said if it eases your mind then by all means go test , a HIV test never hurt anyone .
