Licking the beaters and spatula
« on: July 16, 2007, 09:26:03 am »
Yesterday morning I enjoyed the dual guilty pleasures of licking kitchen tools after making from scratch a chocolate cake and mocha buttercream frosting.   Mmmmmm!!!!!

....but do as I say, not as I do  :D

P.S.  I'm currently pickling a beef brisket for five days to make a "triple-processed" corned beef for sandwiches and hash.  I had to put in as far away from the cat's box in the basement, to avoid scaring her away from doing her business and the process develops.

mmmmm... I love cake batter and feel absolutely no guilt ever eating it.  I think yellow cake batter is my favorite though.

You can start with the back of the spatula.  That really gets me going!

This topic should have more participants.  I may go buy a yellow cake mix (I assume, David, that you made yours from scratch with proper cake flour?) and just eat the batter... maybe make a few cup cakes though I don't own a cup cake tin so that kills that idea.

I'd buy one but since I was SCAMMED with my bank account I only have $100 to last me until Monday when the bank opens.

*sigh*

I love when large charges go though my account with the vendor's name in Vietnamese from New York City.

I just made a batch of cherry-raisiin-coconut muffins from a starter of Amish Friendship Bread that's been fermenting on the counter for the last week. MMMM. I'll trade you for some of that brisket ;) Luckily I've been 130 lbs for 20 yrs (except for some of those sick times in my life) so I get to eat anything I want. :)

I made a cocoanut custard crustless pie yesterday. It is yummy.

It goes well with the calabacitas I am making today or the kielbasa and cabbage I made yesterday.

I like to cook and am becoming quite an accomplished gluten free cook as well.

HUGS,

Licking the beaters and spatula

:) I couldn't resist it. Must be that I am tired, but I would much rather beat it, and then lick it ,then possibly perhaps paddle someone with a spatula !  :P  Don't mind me !!  :)

Why would you have to place it away from the cat box? The cat gets freaked-out because...........?
I'm very interested learning this triple process.

For the same reason my pet Dachshund wouldn't got within 15 feet of the spot where my grandmother buried the kimchi pot -- it stinks terribly, and I don't want the cat avoiding her box like the dog did that area of turf.
