Title: Need Help..Should i get tested?
Post by: ahrman on February 11, 2012, 04:25:17 am
Hi .

You guys have been doing great job . This is my story ..Last 2 nights in singapore ,i have been 2 different women and these are my activities

1. First women in bar-  kissing -french kissing ,handjob and fingering ..spend close to hour in bar and then came off

2.Yesterday night got one women to the room , I was tired and had no sleep and was nervous so couldn get hard on .so had a shower with her ,massage, kissing blowjob with condom ( was not hard on at all-but the condom didn come off till the end i guess) and didn have any intercourse even though condom was on because i was not hard on ,but condom was  there all  the time..

My questions are'

1.I read from ur forum that any kind of oral sex is no risk for HIV tarnmission ,all these activities should i get tested for HIV or any form of std transmission - i am not sexually active person btw

2.Since i was not hard on but i was wearing condom and it didn break i guess ,so i was still protected even though i was not hard on ?

I might get married in few months ,so should i get tested before that for these activites?

Please help!

Thanks for ur help!

Worried dude

Ahrman,

Kissing, no matter what type, is not a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a handjob is not a risk for hiv infection.

Fingering is not a risk for hiv infection.

Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is not a risk for hiv infection.

Not one person has ever been infected through any of these activities and you are not going to be the first.

You only need to test if you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse - with ANYONE - that you have not told us about.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES YOU HAVE ENGAGED IN, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thank a lot! since i was not hard on the other night(dammit.. because of nerves and tiredness  i just couldnt get an errection! :( ), condom was still on,i remember removing it too and i didnt ejaculate,so there should be no problem with breakage or seepage when its there but when i am not errect? sorry for asking ..this was my first time with this and i am kind of scared if i followed the correct procedure..

so if i was safe, can i forget abt testing in these two incidents and move on with my life!
thanks again for your help

You do not need to test.

ahrman,

None of the details you add change your risk assessment. You have NOT had a risk.

Your concerns about the condom do not matter in this case because as I told you, getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected through getting blown and you will not be the first.

..this was my first time with this and i am kind of scared if i followed the correct procedure..

If you read the condom and lube links in my signature line like I asked you to in my first response, you'll learn the "correct procedure" and how to use them. The Condoms are a Girl's Best Friend link even has videos available for viewing that take you step-by-step through putting a condom on and taking if off again afterwards. That website is also available in several different languages, so if English is not your first language, you can hopefully find one there that you are more comfortable reading.

I would like to suggest that you practice putting condoms on when you're on your own so you get used to it for when it really matters. Practising with them will make you more confident and you'll be less prone to making a mistake with them. A correctly used condom RARELY breaks, so get practising.

And as Rodney suggests, re-read your entire thread. Our answers are not going to change no matter how many details you add to the situation. You did not have a risk.

Hi.. I am there again ....i am back from Singapore ..and again i have started worrying after the latest few incidents..

these were my exposures for last one month

1.body massage ...and unprotected hand job thrice (i went thrice !!) and protected hand job once ..which involved some smooching as well (wee just for a short couple of minutes)
2)Protected blow job twice with different women.

Other than that it was body rubbing in general

I never had any intercourse ...with any women.. thing that got me worrying is that its been  2 weeks since my exposure at unprotected hand job in massage ..and i suddenly developed some rashes on my chest area..its have never happened before like that..i am not sure why..its also been itching on my chest area..with the rashes..it may be due to dandruff too...iam having severe dandruff for the last many days...but i am not sure..but this has gotten me worried..since i have gingivitis..no open sores i think..and i am in poor dental heath for quite some time..i am worried that during kissing or handjob i might have got some exposure ..

so should i get tested now ? or should i ignore it and treat it as skin problem.... i have not had any other ars symptoms such as viral fever ,diarrhea etc....just the rashes which i have not had before in chest area...i am scared now

thanks for ur help again!

As you ought to know (and remember) by now, the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. As long as condoms are consistently used for those activities you will be well protected.

Other STDs are easier to acquire so we do advise that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least annually have a full STD panel done.

Neither kissing or handjobs are risks for HIV.

If any of your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor. This is not an HIV situation. Period.
