I just received a Facebook poll today re: Chik-Fil-A and I didn't even know about their anti-gay views. How sad. It ensures I won't be buying my third sandwich there. http://www.aol.com/video/ed-helms-boycotts-chickfila-for-being-antigay/517421978/?ncid=wsc-video-cards-headline

Perhaps he was referring to the Boeing Mini-Mart, conveniently located off of Squirrel Hill Drive.... they have wonderful slurpees but tend to be antigay....

"We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that." - Chick-Fil-A

It's important to note that Chick-Fil-A is pretty much against any non-traditional (i.e. non-Christian) family structure.

Gay, divorced, single parent, doesn't matter.

The "we are married to our first wives" comment kinda gives us a peek at their views on gender equality and roles, too.

I do have to give them credit though for at least not being hypocrites and sticking to their Christian principles even at great financial expense to the company (closed on Sundays)... though it could be argued that it essentially forces all of its employees, distributors, and franchise owners/operators to observe Christian tradition.

Chick-Fil-A

They may be anti-gay, but they got some tasty chicken nuggets!

I have not eaten at a Chick-Fillafaggot in 3-4 years, and maybe a total of twice in the past decade.

I bet Wumpy will still go there weekly.

ps: I can go to Shank's, the originator of the breaded/fried chicken sandwich. The best version is with sharp provolone and sauteed broccoli rabe.

I actually have not patronized them since our last big discussion about them, back 2 or 3 years ago. And trust, they are losing a ton of money without me  ;)

I havn't ate at chik fil a in almost 2 decades....not because of their view but because I think their food sucks..It is the same reason I do not eat at McDonalds.  I do not choose whether or notto patronize a business based on their stances on anything. There will always be those who disagree with me, that is not a valid reason to avoid someone.  Just my opinion.

I stopped eating at Mcdonalds when They said Ray Krock was a devil worshipper. But that scrumptious special sauce drew me back in, devil be damned.

I tend to agree with you when we're talking about a business whose owner or CEO or whatever simply disapproves of my "lifestyle", to each his own and I simply chalk it up to ignorance, but...

...what we're just finding out now is that Chick-Fil-A has donated millions in recent years to numerous anti-LGBTQ groups, several of them are either listed as a bona fide hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center or are on its watch list.

Patronizing a business that financially supports such groups just kinda feels like I'd be helping to pay for the baseball bat that someone is going to beat me with one day.

I have never seen one of those chicken shacks, and I would never patronize a place who blatantly denounces who I am.  Sorta along the same reason I support those businesses who support us.  I've been shopping a lot at JC Penny ever since they stood up to the Ellen hating boycotters.
Being honest is not wronging others, continuing the dishonesty is.
