ROOMMATE NEEDED IN VEGAS!!!

Hey All! I really need your help; the love of my life is in a half way house and his end date is 5-11-07 and he needs to find a place to hang his hat before then.
The crime was nonviolent and I can honestly say he was set up. He is HIV POZ and really needs a helping hand. He does not drink, smoke, or do drugs and is a neat freek; he is willing to cook clean and do whatever it takes to make things work for him. This would have to be a place where there are no drugs, alcohol or weapons (guns and such) and the person offering to help would have to submit to a background check and pass it. My Hero is hard working and already has 1 job and is looking for another as we speak; he is also a good friend to those that are honest with him and loyal to a fault.

I know this is asking a lot but if I didn't have faith in him I wouldn't be going out on a limb like this but I am willing to put my life in his hands and not think twice about it so please help!

He is hoping for a roommate that is a straight man or gay woman and no he is not prejudice he just doesn't want to have any drama about a relationship because he has me and has enough going on as it is without that too.

This is urgent! Thank you in advance for all of your help!!!

You have to have a limb first before you can go out on that.  You don't even have a seedling.

Two things confuse me about your request.

One, if you care about this man so much, why are you posting among strangers on a message board where you never know who is going to respond? It seems like you have not thought of the possible implications of putting this request out there in cyberspace. You could easily end up putting him into a very compromising and dangerous situation.

Two, if you think so highly of him and are "willing to put your [my] life in his hands", why don't you take him in yourself? Surely having him sleep on your couch would be preferable to having him end up with goodness knows who.

I understand the ramifications of asking strangers for help but I did this at his request; I didn't feel very good about it either and told him so but he insisted so here I am.
As for taking him in... I gladly would but his transfer will not go through until he has been on the outside world for a year. At that time he will be coming to OUR home and will be welcomed with open arms and won't have to sleep on the couch.
This request has been made out of need not want and not because there is much other option. He and I don't know anyone in NV at present so his situation has put him in a pickle. I'm just trying to help him and this is how he asked me to start.
Wouldn't you do almost anything for someone you love?

Apparantly you are not willing to move there and assist him.

Basquo, thanks for being understanding! I have a lot going on and spaced on the intro before I talked about him.

I am his girlfriend and he is HIV POZ. He and I have known eachother for about 8 years and I love him a lot. Right now situations keep us apart and all of my family is here so I need to be here as both of my grandmothers are elderly and I do all I can to help them and easy the burden so I am unable to move at present or I would be going out there in a heartbeat.

I came to this website because of his health situation and because I am Hep C POZ so there is a lot of good info here for both of us. Right now he doesn't have internet access so this is something I can do to help him. I do all I can to stay up on what is going on and all the latest tx options and research so I can be informed and as prepared as possible for what lies ahead. I'll never be ready but at least I can be informed and try to cope.

I can't support both of us and neither can he right now so me leaving what little I have here is not an option and wouldn't be fair to either of us. I also have to look at the fact that my Dr is here and right now isn't a good time for me to find a new one and try to start over (lots going on!) so I need to be here for now and hope that the probation department will ease up sooner than later.

So anyway, I'm the girl that loves him like crazy and just wants to help even though there is so much distance between us. What else can I tell you that I haven't?

Heros we must be completely stupid but we're not understanding your posts. All responders have tried to understand but as you can see from the answers we don't get it. Can you explain what is the problem?

The problem is my POZ boyfriend is in Vegas and needs to find a place to live and hopefully a roommate; he is in a halfway house just out of prison so the roommate has to go through a background check, he asked me to post here to see if anyone in the Vegas area was willing to help because right now the BOP won't let him transfer to where I live and I can't move there at the moment.

The question is; Is there anyone in the Vegas area that is willing to help another human and take him on as a roommate even though he has been in prison?

Yes a lot better And according to your profile you're in Iowa, so he can't be on your couch and he cannot go out of state because he was in jail.

I don't know if there are readers from LV, but it may be a lot faster for him to contact an organization in LV that would provide him temporary shelter and help him find a roommate? Here is not a good place to find roommates because of organization the posts disappear in the flow and after a few days your post would get unnoticed even if someone from LV would be available to help.
