Oh, Little Steve,
I dare use the "Little" because it is a term of endearment whenever it refers to you!

It has been said (by me) that a person doesn't reach adulthood until he reaches 40. Up until then, we just keep them around as eye candy and to make mistakes.

Well, make no mistake, you are still eye candy and man with a delightful soul with whom I am proud to be acquainted.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

OK, enough of the mushy stuff. RAB, you are wrong. I am the official paddler of the birthday partyers, the authentic bun warmer, if you would. You will have to wait your turn.

Let's see, that will be 40 birthday swats, plus one to grow on!  :o

Steve, I hope your day is the best and your 40 days of celebration are a blast!

HUGS,

Mark

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.

On Sunday, I went to the Dolphin (one of my many locals) with some friends and had a lovely lamb roast, a glass of wine and a vodka.
On Sunday night, I was sick yet again so I spent yesterday (my birthday) at the doctors surgery. They think my alcohol intolerance of late may be a sign of liver toxicity from the meds so I was told to return on Tuesday morning so they could draw some blood to test my liver function and to measure the 'trough' levels of the Kaletra in my system to make sure I am not absorbing too much of it resulting in toxicity. If the levels of Kaletra are too high then I will likely either reduce the amount of Kaletra or change medications.

On a positive note, I got to sleep in my nice warm bed with my new electric blanket. mmmm warm and toasty.
Australians tend to live in a dream world sometimes and pretend that we really don't have a winter. Very, very few people have central heating or the like. Rather, we tend to isolate one room in the house and all gather round a two bar electric radiator for warmth. If it is 6 degrees celsius outside, then it is 6 degrees celsius in every other room in the house, bedroom included. As a youngin' I never felt the need for an electric blanket but as I get older the cold bites harder, so an electric blanket for my 40th was an appropriate and much appreciated gift from my friends. And, there is nothing like an electric blanket to dry out a mattress soaked after a good night sweat.

Cheers
Little Stephen

(ps. Rocky and Mark - you can have one butt cheek each for that paddling  :o. Lisa, I'll have to find another spot for you to spank me  ;D)

You are absolutely right about the electric blanket dear. I purchased on for myself at the beginning of winter her, last season.
I like my house to be cool, even in the winter. Given the prices of heating oil, I keep the thermostat set low, and live in my bed most of the winter. I like to call it my hibernation period..........I bet Matt could relate to that... ;)
I'm glad you had a lovely dinner. You just have to remember to take care of yourself because I AM going to get the chance to meet you someday.
Sending good thoughts your way for your labs. :-*

Hey Steve, Happy (belated) Birthday!

I'm sorry I missed this thread when it was current, but knowing you're a cat lover, I hope this photo of Freddy saying "Happy Birthday Little Steve!" makes up for my lateness.

Hope you had a good one!
