Hello all,
Some of you may have read my posts in the past. They were about my wife and I trying to have a baby, I'm pos. my wife is neg.
We tried Invitro twice,and thousands of dollars later no baby,and alot of bills.
So we read the SWISS study and decided to try it naturally.
Well after 5 attempts my wife became pregnant, But then was the scary part. She had to take an HIV test..
We were worried,as I'm sure anyone in our shoes would be.
But we met ALL the SWISS studies requirments and we just got her blood work back and she is STILL HIV NEGATIVE!!
She is 8weeks pregnant, so her last exposure was just over 2 months ago. She will have to take another HIV test, but this is a strong indication that all is well.
There is life after this disease, just have faith, keep your doctor appointments and ADHERE to your meds!
To all you folks out there wanting to have a baby,There is hope, please dont give up your dreams because of this virus.

This is TERRIFIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! You give a lot of hope to the couples who are in your shoes. My husband and I are in those same shoes and we are also in the process of trying to get pregnant. We are going through SPAR (http://sementesting.org/). We have considered conceiving naturally but we weren't sure. We haven't tried IVF because we are in the early stages and aren't at that point yet. But I think it's so great that you were able to conceive naturally and that your wife is still negative. Please keep us all posted. I am so hopeful.

It's stories like this that give my heart a big thumbs up and that while the nightly news makes one think that the world is going to hell in a handcart, people like you who share your experience UPLIFT all of us! It's just after 10:30 AM and your success story will be on my mind all day to make me smile and think that "Hey. All really is OK in the world!"
I know there's one or two more "squeeks" to get through (HIV tests for your wife) but if we all send good vibes your way, I have NO DOUBT it's all going to be just fantastic. What a priviledge to have a child in a day and age where many parents have no clue how lucky they are. You are both going to be the BESTEST Daddy and Mommy any child could wish for.
One more thing:

Great news, Dingo and Mrs Dingo!
If her hiv test was done at or after the six week mark (from your last unprotected baby-making endeavour) - it is good news indeed as a negative result at that point is unlikely to change. I hope Red Dirt Girl reads this thread!
I'm looking forward to the photos. ;)

He mentions that issue in the original post. I think asking for more details would be unnecessary and frankly rude.
A simple Congratulations or Good luck would be more appropriate.

That is Soooooooooooooooooooooooo AWESOOME! I am so happy for you both. I am with a neg partner so I hope when we decide to make a baby...he will want to do it natuarally. I REALLLLLLLY HOPE SO! I am not into pushing the matter thou...seeing how its not like its gonna happen next week or anything...but hearing news like this is simply amazing!
