I just heard on the news that invesigators in the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, lead by Josep Maria Gatell have discovered that the molecule  alfa defensive 1-3 segregates a natural organism that is able to control the progression of HIV.
This is because the " dendritic " cells are able to produce a superior level of alfa defensive molecules.
I believe these  people are known as elite controllers. In Spain there are only two hundred and fifty according to the report.
Now,  investigators are  continuing, to  find out ( and I know they will find out ) how to stimulate the segration of these molecules so we won't need to take antivirals.
I think that this is great news . I know it will still take some time for the investigators to find out what they need to know, but I am so glad to hear this news.
