I have been on meds since May 1st. Last night I missed them for the first time...I went to take a short nap after work and instead of waking up at 10pm I woke up at 5:30 this morning..So I am just going to wait until my regular time tonight. I agree - there should be no adverse effect.  If you've only missed one dose in almost 6 months you're doing well.

I just missed the other night also.  This is my third miss, since starting almost two years ago-- so when you run the numbers, I'm still 99.6% adherent.  My three missed doses have occurred well spaced out from each other (+/- six months).  The other night, I too must of been so tired I just went to bed (I even had my new 30 day supply in my work bag).

My study coordinator says as long as you're not missing excessively, I'm OK and my combo is forgiving (Truvada/Prezista/Norvir).  At first, I was upset, now I just have to add another layer of reminders!  If it happens again, the next layer of reminder will be my good friend about 250 miles away sending me nightly text messages (just kidding.. but when we're hanging out, we always say: "pill time"). :)

It happens to me every few months or so. I wake up and realize I completely forgot to take all of my pills.

I average missing one dose a week, but this week was perfect :)

Positive since 1993, on meds immediately after.

Current CD4 count, 240
Current VL_  UD

I always kick myself a bit when I see that extra dose in my pill caddy, but so far no real resistance issues, certainly not with my current regimen I've had for almost five years now. So sure, kick yourself, but gently, and go on :)
