New Lab Results

I have good news and I have bad news...

First the bad...Well, we thought the HEPC had cleared on it's own...no so much. The HEPC viral load came back at 823 copies and it appears that my HEPC infection is chronic...so we will monitor it every three months with my HIV labs. So, I have some lifestyle changes to make: no alcohol any more, and have to watch things a little closer.

Now the good: My HIV VL is undectable, and my CD4 count is at 751...I couldn't be happier with that!

Congrats on the HIV viral load and CD4  count!  Sorry to hear about the Hep C.  Have you talked about any plans to deal with that at this point?

On the hep C, bookmark this thread, cos this is a great link:

Hepatitis C for people living with HIV: testing, coinfection, treatment and support (HIV i-base/Hepatits C Trust/Treatment Action Group)

Treatment is more successful when your hep C viral load is low (and yours is v low), something to bear in mind in case you want to explore the pegelated Interferon/ribavarin thingy

Please send me 200 CD4 cells, then we''ll be square(ish) on numbers

Dan Blix...my doc wants to monitor right now, she's not recommending treatment yet...but I don't know...
