I know where I'm going on my next NYC jaunt
« on: August 26, 2010, 09:09:53 pm »
Opening next week: Eataly, the new 50,000 sq. ft. Mario Batali place, part retail, part sit down restaurant (actually seven restaurants, four food stands)

http://ny.eater.com/archives/2010/08/first-look-at-culinary-funhouse-eataly.php

Good thing I know the owner(s)! :)

Quite nice.  Too bad the microbrewery won't be open for my next NY escapade (labor day weekend).

Some of you should kiss up more to me on here seeing as how I'll be coming into a tidy sum of dough one day in terms of inheritance!

Oh, and I'll definitely be hitting that crudo/raw bar section modeled after Esca -- I ate there a decade ago and it's definitely one of Batali's best places though it gets less attention.

I am interviewing candidates for position of Sugar Daddy (see previous post to Rev Moon) - no experience necessary; must be coming into tidy some of dough one day; must have keen sense of fashion; smart and quick witted tongue; and photograph well in both leather and high school clothing.  :)

Philomena please. I'm not old enough to be anyones sugah daddy.  I can still work it.

If you come to NY it would be on your own dime and you'd have to put out ;)

I probably can't swing it for this trip (too soon and I have some grant deadlines coming up) - but who knows - if I put my mind to it and knock out the work I have this week - I might be able to do it.

As far as putting out - we already know the answer to that question - I'm easy, what can I say..... now the question is, do I disclose (ooops, wrong thread -  ;D)

Queen, unless you want to spend time chillin at the buddy booths in Times Square, I suggest you avoid Miss P's gay hangouts :)

I would like to join you when you come up to NYC.

This could be a cute mini-AMG for a meal.  I'm sure Jody would attend.

So far we've got you, Michelle, Pete, and myself (such a fabulous crew).  Now we need the date.

I'd love to attend a mini AMG in NYC, of course!  Last time we had one we went to John's for oven baked, thin crust pizza in the Village, it was great if you like, or anywhere at all you choose.

Phil,

Leather and high school clothing? Really. We may have to ask you, to return your toaster oven.

My only plans in the near future are for Oct. 2, so when we have an idea for a date that would be cool.

Take care all.

Buddy Booths? Um care to elaborate on that? I have no idea what you're talking about. I am sure Miss Thang would not take me anywhere I wouldn't have fun at...*looks@MissP*

I think it def sounds like a plan. We just need a date to kick it all off. I am taking plenty of pics so don't none of you be shy....
