Good Day to everyone,

almost two months ago, I received an oral sex from a guy whose HIV status was unknown. I was the one who insert my penis into his mouth. I did cum twice because he performed it consecutively around 30 mins on me. He swallowed my cum and also lick my nipples and massage my anus and light kissing.. Question is am i at risk of HIV? or am i just paranoid about this incident? because as i'm surfing the internet i get answers no risk but i keep coming back to the forums just to calm my anxiety. should i stop worrying now and move on with my life? and is it true that throughout these times of discovering hiv that not one incident of hiv transfer had happened to the person receiving oral sex? that means no documented cases and that i will not be the first one to acquire it? thank you

You were never at risk of contracting HIV from getting a blowjob.

You do not need to test for HIV.

And with regard to HIV/AIDS, you will stay well too as long as you consistently use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. When unprotected, those are the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV.

Thank you Mr. Velez.. i will always be aware and will follow your advice.. this event has really made me more aware of the things that one can acquire through unprotected sex and the myths and facts surrounding it.. we are fortunate that the admins and experts like you are on this site helping in clearing up the confusion among the un/misinformed people like me.. as RapidRod advice, would you also agree that i should give up testing for hiv with this incident?

There is absolutely NO risk for HIV through getting your penis sucked. Saliva is NOT infectious.

As a matter of fact, saliva contains over a dozen different elements that neutralize HIV and render it non-viable. Therefore, even sucking an HIV positive person is not a legitimate risk for HIV.

If you use a condom for penetrative (anal, vaginal) sex, you will remain HIV negative. It really is that simple.

Can i donate blood even though i haven't tested for HIV or STDs after my only sexual encounter which i have mentioned before?

Well, using the blood donation process in lieu of an STD check is not a good course of action.

But you did not have an HIV risk. No one has - or will - get HIV from getting a blowjob.

though aside from hiv, are other stds transmittable by blood? if it is so, i would forego the blood donation until i have fully check for stds.. and can i skip the hiv testing part? or for peace of mind go for it? thank you

We cannot tell you what restrictions apply to blood donors in your locality. You should ask your local blood bank.

Numerous STDs besides HIV are transmitted by direct blood to blood contact. Nothing you have reported in this thread has placed you at any risk of these infections.

Please note that this an HIV specific forum and we will not discuss diseases other than HIV with you.

So don't bother asking.

Thank you for the advice and helping me convince myself that oral sex is NO RISK when it comes to HIV.

though i think that i will get a full std panel done before giving blood so as to fully assure myself that i wont transfer any STDs to others

If you are sexually active then having a full STD panel done regularly as in at least once a year is a very good idea. As indicated other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV.

OK. No surprise there. Now get on with your life. And to stay HIV negative in relation to sexual activity, just be sure to always use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse.

There is this lingering question in my mind and i hope that the mods here can confirm it.. as i stated earlier, i tested for hiv and the result was non reactive but i tested during my 11 weeks and 6 days, 1 day short of the 12weeks, i was wondering if there is a chance that the result will change. thank you

No one in the history of the HIV pandemic has ever been infected through getting a blowjob. You have had no risk. Good lord, I perform unprotected oral sex on my HIV negative partners all the time. It's NOT a risk for HIV.

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection! You are conclusively hiv negative. You do NOT have hiv!
