King Neptune probably doesn't have a treasure chest the size o' the one you got.

Hoarding runs in my family... seriously.  When Gran Gran died we found money stuffed in pantyhose all over the house, and about 20 bags of flour in the attic.

Barbara please.  Haven't you seen those filthy pictures of "meth mouth"?

I have never met a single meth queen (and honey, I have known me some meth queens) that had a spooky tooth display like that one.

Besides...who sticks their dick in something like that anyway?

Hence why I've never been fond of really dark rooms in sex clubs.

Unfortunately no, you can't.  And that's a sad fact considering I have an extra bottle of it floating around in my treasure chest.

You obviously haven't tried snorting it. ;D

YEE-HAW!

And by the way, I'm hardly going to start warning people for having a disagreement with me - it wouldn't be very sporting of me, would it darling. People can disagree all they like, as long as they don't flame.

So put that in your pill crusher and breathe deep! ;D

And with that, I'm off to my bed! Alone! By choice!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

I didn't expect you would warn over a disagreement.  I just thought the tone was pretty, um...harsh above.

You shouldn't advise snorting Diflucan, ANN.   Philly is probably crushing pills as we type.

Whether to disclose or not is immaterial to the side question of "can you transmit HIV through giving a blow job?"

As epidemiologic and scientific studies have indicated, it is not possible to do so.

But as legalities are in play, many based on the shrill and hysteric-driven soft science of the 1980s and 1990s, one does indeed take a significant risk with such a choice.

There are actually more people in jail (or in the penal system awaiting trial/sentencing) for non-disclosure than there are documented cases of HIV through insertive oral sex.

Insofar as the science is concerned, while the Romero study was indeed focused on couples, the HOT Study conducted over seven years in San Fransisco was not. The work of Dr. Kimberly Page-Shafer is remarkable in this regard, and moreso in that it addresses the issues raised in the critics of the Romero study.

Which raises the point, why is it "more likely" to get HIV from having multiple oral sex partners than a single partner whose viral load fluctuates widely? I have yet to see valid evidence that certain strains of HIV-1 are more easily tramsmitted, or are transmitted through different methodology.

What this illuminates is the dearth (death?) of critical thinking, which seems to bleed into the HIV infected/affected population, a population which can singularly ill-afford willful ignorance or the chosen desertion of the scientific method.

It's not a luxury that people infected with this virus can affford.  Getting our information from easy to read blurbs written in mass-marketed fourth or fifth tiered "journals" is an easy path to sickness, even death.

Now is a great time to learn how to discern between legitimate and junk science, to discern between between soft and hard science, and cast a severely skeptical eye towards studies that blend the two.

I sincerely hope that people who are newly infected can spend some time in that regard, developing the art of critical thinking, developing the notion of hard versus soft science. And questioning anything put forward by the mass media, POZ magazine included... especially, really.

I am not at all perfect, and my analyses are not nearly a hundred percent accurate. But I rarely, if ever, make a supposition without some basis of evidential proof. It is that proof which can be debated, assuredly. But not the basis of my assumptions. Critical thought has saved my ass these last 14 years of AIDS. Sometimes at the next-to-last minute. And always by thinking beyond the paradigm.

I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend that practice in others.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

found it!!!

so milker, are you disclosing now. wow, i guess it's our moral imperative to disclose. shit, i have one guy i've blown and haven't disclosed to. everyone else (why does that make me sound like a whore?) does know. okay, i take that back. i do believe all partners should know, but that's assuming a perfect situation. if i were in a dark, sex-filled place (an innocent angel like myself would never step foot in a dank sex filled den) i probably wouldn't disclose for a blow job. then again, im not gonna blow a load in some dude's mouth nor is he gonna blow one in mine. and no, condoms will most likely not be used.

if it's someone im dating, i will tell them. they will know before they come to my pad. if it's someone i meet on the net, they will know before they come over. for me it is determined by the degree of anonymity. overall, disclosing is great, but since the risk of giving hiv via blowing someone is negligible, i won't sweat it either way.

my one guy who ive been blowing over 2 years, i couldnt bring myself to tell him the complete truth. he knows i have something, he also knows this something is something he doesnt have to worry about catching. so he doesnt care for more details, only more great head. im working on my ninja skills. i still feel kinda guilty, but ...

dunno milker, what did you decide?
