It's Raining GLBT's in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. - according to Gallup poll - has highest % of persons who identify as GLB or T.

Florida beat out PA, as did Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama (any comment Ms. P.?)

I generally don't like these types of lists because they always have an element of false comparison. Why? Because they go by city borders instead of the entire metropolitan area, and city borders are specific to historical elements, meaning that DC and Philly offer a good comparison -- or a good comparison regarding this Gallup study's bad comparisons. Their metropolitan areas are similar in size (5.7 and 5.9 respectively) but within city limits the comparison is 632,000 to 1,526,000 simply because DC was historically constrained within borders defined by its founding by Congress. You can play this game with most any city, hence why using the entire metropolitan area is more useful and intellectually honest.

ps: Oh, lame -- it's even more dumb because the Gallup poll props DC up there in comparison with actual states. Can we be a bit more dumb?

Only if I were to post it in the "I LOVE PORN" thread or make a youtube video and post it there  ::)

I agree, it is very unscientific and the fact that it relies on self-reporting automatically makes its title and intent inaccurate.
