Questions about working in China and being HIV+

I have been offered a two month job in China as a musician.  Has anyone in here had any experience working in China while being HIV+?  From what I have read, they require a medical exam if it's a stay is longer than 6 months but a friend of mine who just worked there, had to do a full medical exam and she just worked there for 2 months.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I don't want to get over there and then get deported.

If there is a better forum to post this in, please let me know.  This is my first time posting on this site.
