Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Hello, I'm a young female and in my 20s and I was dating this guy this past summer that I ended up not trusting. We always used condoms and to my knowledge they didn't fail, the last time I had sex with him was in august and went in for a hiv antibody test 5 weeks and 4 days after the we last had sex, it was negative. My 3 month window period is up in 2 weeks or so which I will go, how likely is it that I will test positive ?
Also is receiving an oral sex/ being rimmed a risk?

Nothing you describes put you at risk for infection, as you used condoms for penetrative sex.  You cannot contract HIV from oral sex or rimming.  Testing for HIV can be done at six weeks past the latest exposure and since you did not have a risk, I expect your HIV test to be negative.

Hello all I am worried once again because about a month ago I started sleeping with this guy and he precums a lot. We have always used condoms, but since he precums a lot I know it gets on the condom then we have immediately sex after. It makes me nervous because of it on the condom. I have let this happen often because I thought it wasn't a risk, but then some websites say it's low risk? My question is, is it low risk or no risk? should I be worried?
I'm getting so anxious! Thanks!

No need to be anxious as HIV is not transmitted through casual sexual contact.  HIV is a very fragile virus that becomes instantly damaged when outside the host and is unable to infect. Continue using condoms for all penetrative sex and you will avoid HIV.
