Sarah Palin's new word

Sarah Palin called on New Yorkers and Muslims to "refudiate" plans for a mosque two blocks from the World Trade Center site in New York...OK, OK I shall try to refudiate them...and Sarah as well !!! ;)

She probably meant repudiate or possibly refute and just got excited so she combined them.  More likely she just misread the speech her handler wrote for her before he groomed her and gave her a treat.

Evidently she can't see a dictionary from where she lives.  Perhaps she's just following in our previous president's footsteps... http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blbushisms.htm

She actually tweeted about this error on the word -- which she made twice by the way.

She states that "even Shakespeare coined new words..."   Talk about a lame spin -- this lady just can't own up to a mistake.  I would respect her more if she could at least do that.  She should be refudiated for refusing to do so.

after quitting halfway through being a governor (a noble, honorable position) there's nothing she could ever do to earn enough respect from me to care what this quitter thinks or says. The only reason I pay any attention to her as it is, is to "refudiate" :D her statements that my brother and mom seem to want so hard to believe.

by the way, there's an online petition at http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/palin_discovery/?rc=fb_share1 to try to get Discovery Communications to cancel the "nature show" Sarah Palin has done for them to be aired on TLC

Hey Jody,

So glad you threaded this next Palin Wailin'!!

And Hellraiser,
They've actually got video of her PREVIOUS use of refudiate. The nightly news asserted the same notion of her melding two words, but bottomlion her roar is being undermined by her blundermind.

I think we ought to pronounce it differently in her honor. How about ree-fudd-ee-ate as in Elmer Fudd.

As a person I work with says, she is redonkulous! That she's achieved so much attention is indicative of cholesterol-clogged artieries carrying less oxygenated blood to our country's brain cells. Frightening fog indeed.

Next, she'll be saying irregardfull or something equally disingenious!!

I think she would be funny if she wasn't so really, really scary.

People make fun of her now, the same way people made fun of Ronald Reagan in 1976.  Good thing he never came back to hurt us, huh?

She's dumb as a brick,  but evil and dangerous, and cloaked in a pretty wrapper.

I liked where one group Tweeted back saying if Sarah and repubs want immigrants to learn English, then she should learn it as well.  I don't believe she came up with the Shakespeare comment.  I think Rove sends her things to say when she gets in trouble.

I better be careful though.  I already got into trouble talking about one female gov.....

LOL @ Matty -- those pics are too funny.   A new monologue for Jeff Foxworthy, maybe..."You may be too ignorant to even BE a redneck, if you can't spell simple words to go on your Tea Party sign"

I agree with bman -- she's scary to me.   I saw some show the other night, about mall cops at Mall of America, and she was having a "book signing".   It was incredible how many people showed up to cheer her, praise her, and basically worship her (and her ignorance).

Maybe she had "refute" and "repudiate" written on her hand, and the ink smeared, and she read it as "refudiate".   I find it hilarious that in the "writing on her hand" incident, one of the things she wrote was "TAX CUTS".   DUH -- she's supposed to be a Republican!  This is their national antherm:  "Oh say can you see; any tax cuts for me".......

A cute tidbit from today’s NY metro newspaper:

Sarah Palin, proud poetess

I am in total agreeingment with Sarah Palin’s right to add to our vocapillary in the spirit of Shakespearisian wordplay.  Her creative use of language only underspores her integralty.  I look forwardedly to the day when Ms. Palin actually transcends the Immoral Bard and communicakes using only her own invented speech.
