I tried making a new profile because I thought I had lost my log in info. Finally found it, I dont want to violate any rules. Please mods disregard my request.

The reason for this thread is that I have put my wife at risk. I'm not on meds yet so I know ashe is at great risk. We were having protected anal sex for about ten seconds. I heard the condom break and pulled out immediately, I inspected my penis and I had some precum. She ran off to the hospital to see what can he done. She and I have no medical insurance plan. They have given her a prescription for truvada and I can't remember the other drug. I'm sorry,  I can't think straight right now. We obviously can't afford these meds. Is there anything that can be done or is she just going to have to test in three months. I don't know what I would do if I infect her. Thanks once again.

Wife got back with a rx for Truvada and Kaletra. Looked around online and prices are sky high. We don't have that type of money at our disposal due to some unexpected bills. I guess the only thing we can do now is wait and hope for the best. Pray for her, shes a very good mom and wife.

You don't deserve any response here.  This man have made same requests with similar contents in the past.  I don't know why he is doing that?  Cheeting? Do you think that it is not possible to see back to your past posts?  >:(

I hope your wife remains negative Thatsall. From what I understand she has an extremely good chance. All the best.

Bought the Truvada. Since I read Truvada can be taken alone as PEP. My girl took her first pill at 3pm. The Doc said she could then take the next pill at 11pm, the next night. Is this okay? I thought  you had to take it 24 hours after. She said the first pill didn't give her any side effects.

Can taking PEP delay seroconversion symptoms? My wife has been having body pains, chills, vomiting, and headaches since yesterday. If PEP fails do you get ARS during PEP or weeks after? It has been almost six weeks since she finished PEP.

That's, if she were to seroconvert despite taking PEP and actually experience a seroconversion illness (not everyone does), she would have had it well before six weeks post-PEP.

She can have an initial antibody test now - the vast majority of people who have actually been infected will seroconvert and test positive by six weeks - or six weeks post PEP. A negative result now will be highly unlikely to change when she confirms at the three month point.

I would not expect her to test negative over this brief incident, with or without PEP. Go have her test to put your minds at ease.

I'm sure you meant positive, right?
Makes sense if PEP didn't abort infection and she did have the seroconversion illness, she would have gone through it in the time line everyone else does. Just a bit worried.

Put it this way - I don't expect anything other than a negative result for your lady. That's probably where the typo came from - I had negative on the brain where your situation is concerned.

So if the PEP failed in the last week she took it, and she had seroconversion symptom about six  weeks later, wouldn't six weeks be right in the ARS timeline? She had a fever, sores in the throat, sore throat, body pain, neck pain, nausea and headaches for two to three days. I keep trying to find out how PEP works, can't find anything. Any info on this in this site?
