Please be advised, I was informed of this job posting which although the employer is in Boston, and description relates to Boston, is in Chicago. I hope Poz.com will additionally vet and add this to their employment listing if it is not already there (I've not checked yet).

Project Manager – Epidemiology Team [Job ID#XXX]

The following position is available in The Fenway Institute, the research, prevention and education arm of Fenway Health:

Under the supervision of assigned Principal Investigator, the Epidemiology Project Manager will aid in the implementation of an epidemiology/behavioral science HIV prevention intervention study with transgender young people under age 30.

Typical duties include: coordination and oversight of day-to-day study operations including recruitment/retention, enrollment, data collection and management, and data analysis and reporting.

Additional duties include: assisting with the supervision of Research Associates and other study staff to ensure that all required study procedures are complete and accurate; assessing needs for study start-up; preparing site for study operations and procedures according to protocol and sponsor guidelines; and assisting in dissemination of study findings including data analysis, manuscript writing and preparation of conference presentations.

In addition, the Project Manager will oversee and assist in the maintenance of complete, accurate and current study records and other administrative documents, actively participate in Quality Assurance activities, and generate regular descriptive statistics and future projections regarding follow-up, retention and compliance.

Education
Bachelor’s degree and MA/MS or MPH in social science or closely related field required. 


Experience/Other Preferred Requirements
•   Direct experience working with transgender persons required
•   Familiarity and comfort with HIV prevention issues facing transgendered persons, youth, men who have sex with men (MSM) and other groups at high-risk for HIV infection
•   Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for assignments and deadlines, work independently, and to effectively work as part of a team
•   Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and computer (Microsoft Word, Power-Point, Email) skills
•   Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment preferred
•   Undergraduate/graduate coursework in statistics and research methods highly desirable
•   Transgender persons are highly encouraged to apply
