Matt, I hope you're doing better.  Roddles just passed a stone, and I have a bad bladder infection.  Extremely ironic.

Wow, didn't know this had been announced until PM's came in. I was like how did you know?? Thanks sharkie  :P

I am alright, was taken to the ER and spent the evening in and out of it. I have a 2mm stone, blocking something. Should be OK, but I have to go to the urologist tomorrow or Tuesday. Hasn't hurt much today so I guess it stalled out. Got some good pain meds and some thing that supposedly relaxes and opens up the tubes so I can pass..think its called FloMax or something.

Today slept all day. Tomorrow I will try to go to work. If I start hurting though I will be doped up again and back home sleeping.

Thanks for your support guys :)

Hey Matt,

Sorry about the kidney stone. They hurt - A LOT!

Now, I'm sure your doc already told you this, but beside the flomax, you need to drink lots of water. We're talking 64 ounces or so a day.

Also, keep in mind that tea, coffee, coca cola, and the rest of the caffeinated drinks actually dehydrate you. So, the local IDNS (infectious disease nurse specialist) told me to drink two waters for each caffeinated drink.

Mine was because I was taking Crixivan, but the advice works for Reytaz as well.

So, one 12 oz can of Coke should be followed by 24 ozs of water. Same with the rest. Sodas aren't good sources of hydration anyway, so water is best. Flavored water works well too.

I hope your pain is over. Keep us posted on how things are going.

HUGS,

Mark

Well, I guess that would give him a reason as to 'why' he would be peeing every 10 minutes.
