Why won't your wife let you have any Guinness? Because of hiv? That's just silly. There's no reason why you can't have alcohol. You just need to practice moderation, but that's true of people who don't have hiv too. All things in moderation, including moderation!

I love Guinness too, but unfortunately it puts weight on my belly really quickly. I have a pint now and then, but even so, it's like eating a whole chocolate cake at one sitting for me. I tend to stick with whiskey, ice and water because it doesn't seem to make me fat, only drunk. ;D

Ow yeah, I can see where Guinness wouldn't be the best choice for a diabetic.

I quit drinking Guiness when I started Atripla, the alcohol wouldn't agree with me for some reason.  I haven't ever thought to give it another try since switching meds though..  I use to sometimes like to add a little cream to a Guiness for breakfast.
I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.

I find Jack to be too sweet. My current poison of choice is a Scotch called Highland Poacher. Cheap and cheerful.

Johnny Walker Blue? Lovely stuff, like liquid velvet. Can't afford it though.

Then consider the various blessings of Irish whiskey. Not bad stuff. Jamesons if you're a catholic, Bushmills if you're an orangey protestant bastard.

We used to serve Tullamore Dew at the Catholic Club. I'm guessing that because its a blended whiskey it's OK for both protestants and catholics.

Not to worry; I'll just get one of my fisherman mates or one of my mates in the RNLI to perform a daring sea-rescue!

The former Committee of Western Selection, COWS will launch Helios from San Francisco to perform a daring sea rescue from the west.  Helios has a big bottle of J&B (my scotch of choice) aboard.  Would the RNLI happen to have some ice cubes?   ;D  Have the best day

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM  G U I N N E S S!  Yes I still have a bit of blood left in my Guinness stream  ;)

I LOVE Guinness, Murphy's and other stouts--even to the point of becoming a home-brewer of stouts and porters.  And a nice tumbler with singlemalt---Glenlivet (prefer the 18 yr old) or Oban--just ends every day perfectly for me.

But what do I know...I wear kilts! :-)
