On line Substitute for Truvada
« on: March 09, 2012, 08:00:13 pm »
I have been on Truvada for 3 yrs now with NO side effects...This was my first time on meds, so it was a blessing.

Unfortunately I may have to pay for my own meds and they are costly. I found Tenvir-Em on-line, which has the same ingredients as Truvada.  I guess my question is, is it Safe and the same? I researched the company and its made at a reputable Indian Drug company.

The cost is $85.00 as compared to $1200. for 30 pills...Need some advice here.

Thanks,

I believe it is bio-equivalent to Truvada.

being a Pharmacist, I always look at where any drug I take is made and then will do a Google to research the company etc.I believe India has a good record with drugs ..don't hold me to that but it's in the "back of my head" that I took something made in India. Any generic, you have to worry about how that drug is made, from an aspirin tablet to Travuda, which I take also(I just looked at my bottle and it's brand,Made In Canada) what everyone really needs to think about is the "Quality Assurance" for any drug. How that drug dissipates(dissolves) in your system is key to how it gets past your Blood brain barrier and thus your brain. Many drugs do not pass that barrier...but it's all about how well anyone keeps an eye on the manufacturing, all the way through till the very end and you take that pill and your blood work shows that it works in most people.
Cheers
