I know this bunch is too refined to watch reality shows, but there's this great talent out of Fort Lah De Dah who has a good chance to win The Voice tonight.

Is that the show on Bravo for the song writers?  They were playing a Robyn song "Stars 4ever" for the advertising for some show with Jewel on it and I think that was it, but I've never seen it on.

In just a couple of weeks this show has proven to be somewhat decent, way better than their competitor on Fox.  Their influence on the charts has been more noticeable as well (with several contestants selling well enough to appear on Billboard's Hot 100).  Not totally crazy about a couple of the judges, but I liked the diversity in talent (even though most participants were actually professionals --I for one had always liked Meg & Dia).  I will be satisfied if any of the three ladies takes the title home.

Right, Rev.  You might be interested in this

Don't quote me on this, but based on how she has sold for the past three weeks (her version of Kanye's "Heartless" still selling, and her other releases moving some units --oh, and this show has gotten a few heads to actually buy her Meg & Dia stuff), I have a feeling that she will be da winnah.  She is a safer bet than either of the gay girls or the Latino guy who had already charted an album but didn't get much push from the record label.

Ps./ I have to confess that I'm one of those folks who bought Dia's single (as well as Vicci's)  ::)

I love The Voice. I think the final four are each talented and no matter who wins I won't feel it was undeserved. I also appreciate that the gay contestants, and there were several, were treated exactly like their straight peers and no one even blinked. That someone as talented and unconventional as Beverly has received so much support from Joe America is encouraging.

I was thinking the same thing.  Vicci, Beverly, and Nakia all did well, were there other gay contestants?
