Watch out when you pee too. The guy that chipped my teeth used to tell me that his only regret was that he couldn't pee standing at the trough anymore as his pee would often come out both holes - one in the trough, the other down his leg. His was a large (small?) guage one though.

Unfortunately, he got into a rather steamy scene one night and it was ripped out. He hasn't had it re-done as yet.
They do look hot, but, as Steve said, are hell on the teeth.
But, as my wise mentor always taught me, if you can't choke em, bend em over.

I don't know about PA healing and the risks of migration or keloiding, etc....but, while my guiche was healing, I used lavender oil on it. I had seen on a website where people share their piercing stories that a lot used it and were pleased. It also, apparently, has pain relieving and antibiotic properties. I used it and healing went very smoothly. I also used sea salt soaks a couple times a day, in addition to the washing. No problems at all.

Keeping a PA clean is much easier than for most other piercings, escpecially nipple and belly button ones, simply because you are flushing it with urine all the time, and as urine is sterile you clean as you pee. ;D
From what I know, with PA's the 'wound' never really heals as such, certainly not to the same extent as an ear piercing, and they close over very quickly if you take them out.

Ok..So far I haven't commented or said anything in this thread, until today that is..but I have been checking it everday.
I've been running around like a lunatic getting my chores done feeding the animals so I can get back in to check out this P.A..(God forbid I should miss out).
