That's how I feel after just replacing the crappy thermostat that came with the house!

I was scared to do it right now...when the temperatures are creeping into the upper 90's...but that old thermostat was just bugging the hell out of me so I did some research, watched a couple of how-to videos and then drove into the city and shopped at Lowe's.  I got a sweet touchscreen model for way less than I was expecting to pay. I'm still learning how to program it but I think I have it set at 77 until 9:30 tomorrow morning when it should go into Energy-Star mode.

Next up: painting the living room and replacing the backsplash over the stove. Santi's just finished moving in so when we get get all his stuff squared away then I can start on my storage unit. After Vegas, of course!

We just replaced a thermostat yesterday, too.  The first replacement, which I installed last year, was off by about 5 degrees and acting flaky.  We put the original back on to make sure it wasn't the A/C, and it was running the fan constantly.  I replaced that one with nice touchscreen one, and all is well!  We finally got it all programmed today... much easier than the other two, and cool looking too.
